This looks great but I think you're making it look easier than it is because you're so good at it. I have to make my niece's 18th birthday cake and I'm nervous. With two young kids I don't get to make celebration cakes much anymore so I've very rusty!

This was a great tutorial! Thank you! I made this cake for my daughter's 11th birthday and it turned out perfect! She refused to cut into it so we haven't even eaten it-we had donuts instead haha. One question I have...What do you do for sealing your seam between the head and body? I added a little water to some of my fondant and smeared it on a plate until it made a smooth paste, then smeared that over my seam. It dries with a little sheen though, so I don't always love this trick. With some of my other cakes, I have used the same color of buttercream to fill in seams. Just wondering if you have any other tricks that you like to use? Maybe I should have trimmed the fondant with more excess on the head? I didn't have a bad gap, but I would have liked a smoother transition. Thank you!
