I love the joker one

I've never figured out how to brush on food coloring like that to make it look matte. Do you use a certain technique? Im planning on making a Nightmare Before Christmas dummy cake for display and your cake is sparking some inspiration. Love your work!

Thank you:) I mix my food coloring gel with a little bit of food grade alcohol (you can also use vodka, clear extracts like vanilla etc). It brushed on glossy but as it dries down it is matte:) You want to make sure that you are completely dissolving the gel in the alcohol before applying because any little bits of food coloring gel with usually be streaky and can dry with a sticky look. It's also important for you to let the first coat dry completely before adding a second if you want to build up the color. I hope that was helpful:)!
