How many tornados are typical? How's the warning system?
Here is the data from the National Weather Service for tornadoes in OKC, going back to 1893. One thing to note: OKC is a geographically large area, covering 640 square miles. www.weather.gov/oun/tornadodata-okc Our warning systems are excellent. The sirens are tested every Saturday at noon and we have some of the best meteorologists in the world who will often forecast days in advance when conditions are looking likely for tornadic activity.
If you keep looking down your nose at people there will always be people to look down your nose at , you help to produce the results!
A lot of bigotry, biasness and intolerance and false reports goes on!
..I hear you on chicken n’ pickle .., it’s not too 5 .., I do need to try Mexican radio though.
Thanks for the comment!
Great Landscaping work!
The classism and snobbery has to go, I can't help but notice it everyday! Sometimes, you just think you're looking at a homeless person and you are about to persecute right off "Jump Street"! There needs to be more inclusiveness , and the looks I get sometimes...😂..No, really, I have a home , and I am NOT fond of hanging out! I am a 61 year old woman and I still act like the athletic type I have always been!

How is it for black people
I’m probably not qualified to answer that question. 😄
JAMIL'S STEAKHOUSE OKC Cattlemen's Steakhouse Bunny's Onion Burgers Great Himalayan Indian Cuisines Cajun King Restaurant and Bar Leo's Bar-B-Q The Original
Great list!
we dont have a decent hospital norman regional is awful overall its boring as hell we have huge homeless problem thus a tiny home community for them we get taxed like crazy you can still get acreage but homes have doubled in price
i live here its boring as hell
If you're thinking about a move I can help with that.
Have you lived anywhere else? What's another city that has such community engagement as Norman? I've lived in many cities and from my experience Norman is quite vibrant.
#1 McDonald's #2 Taco Bell #3 KFC #4 Wendy's #5 Thunder Dogs at 7/11
Solid list for sure. I'm not sure I'd be able to narrow mine down to just 5. 🤣🤣
Seriously… so many great places!
I have to agree with him about Vast being #1. I will disagree with Braum's hamburgers. I'm not a fan....but they do have the best ice cream in OK.
2024 June 13th, on our way to Norman Oklahoma visit with family. Thanks for this video to get us started.🎉😊
Enjoy your visit! If you'd like some specific recommendations for food/fun/activities this weekend, feel free to text me: 405-204-0290
Are you sure about the Purina plant closing? I could swear I've smelled it recently.
I thought it closed. Thanks for bringing that up. I’m going to look into it and may have to post an update to the video.
@@BenFreemanHomes It looks like the OKC one closed, but not the Edmond one.
@@Jerry091864 ah, I see. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
I live one mile north of the Purina plant, and the air is thick with dog food smell.
@@ohyousooners I was mistaken about that plant closing.. it was a different one I was thinking of. I posted a correction video a couple weeks back. Thanks for the feedback.
If you're going to do a top five list you need to describe what the food is at all five instead of one. I have absolutely no faith in your opinion as you so woefully failed to back up what you assert. Have a nice day
Ok. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks for the algo boost. 👊
Apparently neither one of you have ever eaten at the Chuck House on 10th for THE BEST Chicken Fried Steak dinner on Planet Earth. Now THAT is some good eats for a true Oklahoman, don't let anybody try and tell you different.
Chuck House! I haven’t been there in probably 20 years.. Need to get back. How do you rank their chicken fry against Del Rancho? After all, the meat hangs off the bun! 😂
If you're going to talk about the Chuck House and Del Rancho, better throw in Kendalls in Noble...
That is wrong Braums is horrible once good No More The Garage has the best burgers This guy dont know Jack Never ate at Mahogany I will try Barrios soon I've never seen Grey Sweater open My sister lives in the Maywood The best Pizza Empire Joey's Upper Crust
I do love a good Big G at The Garage. My favorite burger in town right now is Burger Punk.
Ok… your list blows the other guys away! Frida’s is good and Jesse always took care of us when we went. My #1 now is Palo Santo! By far the best craft cocktails in the city! The Flannel Jacket is my fav. My wife loves the Spiced Daisy. Just to name a couple. Steve the very tall bartender is the best in the city and can make just about anything off menu if he has time. We order appetizers for our meal. Spicy Korean wings, street tacos, tomato bread and a salad. Not to mention the endless bowls of spiced popcorn while waiting. Halls Pizza is a fun experience as well and is right next door to Barrios. Hope this helps! Just Subscribed as well thx!
Thanks for the comment. I love Palo Santo, they have some great cocktails! Jessie is amazing, one of the best in the OKC hospitality industry. Love Hall's and Barrio's too--great spots!
EDMOND,OK may be a more expensive area and home prices are higher BUT for good reason - better infrastructure, better schools, FASTER police and utilities response times, LOW crime rates and people take care of their properties which means your property values will be protected. "Bumper to bumper traffic" to downtown OKC is not as bad if you are comparing to any metro area. 30 mins and under (usually less) for commute isn't bad if you are coming from Cali or back east. Public transit is not as great in Edmond but that's to be expected unless you are living in more densely populated areas like Dallas or NYC. It's definitely a more family-friendly area where kids can play outside without too much worry about crime and Edmond schools are one of the best in the country, just google. Most people live in Edmond and commute to work in OKC so you get best of both worlds. And Norman may have 'lower food prices' but seems Norman and Moore get quite a bit of Tornado activity so you been warned.
Thanks for the comment. I have multiple, previously-published videos on this channel speaking to the benefits of Edmond. I’m curious what your data source is on the tornado comment?

The chocolate milk at braums is on another level. I always get certain groceries from there it's a great place in addition to the food from the restaurant. Oh and where is eischens chicken. I know it's in watonga but still it's legendary
Braum's grocery section is low-key underrated. Great for a quick stop for the essentials. Eischens is in Okarche, about a 45 min drive NW of OKC. And yes, legendary. Have you been?
I saw that house its near downtown and stands out.
It's a cool house! The developer owns several lots in that neighborhood and plans to build more like that one.
Low cost 💲 pay, minimum wage is $7.25. I've lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for 4 years, night life very expensive.,
Braum’s is mediocre at best
Pizza Shuttle!
I survived the first two years of college on their $3 cheese pizzas!
#1 The Ranch (Hefner location) #2 Cheevers #3 Cafe Kacoa #4 Bedlam BBQ #5 Neighborhood Jam My 9 yr old daughter wanted me to add her list😂: #1 Goro #2 Neighborhood Jam #3 Uncle Julio's #4 Sushi Hayashi #5 Benvenuti's
Love it! Your 9 y.o. has great taste too! 😂
I’ve been wondering about this, thank you for sharing, super helpful!
You bet!
For the price they should’ve refrigerated the wine room and added LED lighting,at least epoxied the garage, and the spiral staircase screams cheap, also the primary tub would’ve looked better black
Thanks for the comment.

Not one of those restaurants would be my choice. Did not know that Vast had a lunch buffet.
Thanks for sharing, Dustin.
Are we talking Oklahoma City or Oklahoma City Area? In Oklahoma City Area, including Norman Benvenuti's is my#1. Kendell's chicken fry is probably #2 in Noble. It used to be Ann's on route 66 before it closed down. Cattleman's is way overrated. Why was Paseo Grill not listed or Pizza Gusto? J.
Pizzeria Gusto is my favorite patio in town. Vibes for days!
@@BenFreemanHomes best charcuterie board ever. You have to love a good crust. J.
Way to do a google search and list off the most vanilla things about Norman. I’ve lived here for nearly 25 years and nobody talks about or recommends The Diner. If these are Norman’s main attractions, it’s no wonder this place kinda sucks.
Cant wait to watch your video.
The wheeler district should’ve been on this list, it definitely has the most stand out architecture, and not only that but it’s the most walkable and has entirety walkable shopping and eating areas. It’s basically like a little town within a city, to make it better it has a great view of the skyline and it’s right next to the Oklahoma river.
Wheeler is great! I love going to Clarity and The Big Friendly in that neighborhood. And that green space...

5 Best I have been to 1 Mahogany 2 cheevers 3 The lounge Craft Kitchen 4 Bricktown Brewery 5 Gauges in Guthrie Others The Hamilton Empire Pizza Hefner Grill Teds The Local Eddies Neighborhood Jam All the Paseo restaurants
Thanks for sharing! That's a solid list.
#1- Micky Mantels, #2 Cattlemens, #3 Golden Palace, #4 Dan's Old Time Diner, #5 Ted's
Great list! Thanks for sharing.
You live in the paseo district? That explains a lot
Not sure what that means.
What are you calling the Plaza district???
The Plaza District is along NW 16th Street between NW Classen and Pennsylvania.
The Buffet at Vast was disappointing to me
81 Stakeout. Comanche OK ,
I'm thinking about moving back to Comanche.. I lived there in the 80s when I was a little kid... I remember living in one of Junior Meyer's places, and then we moved to the big white house on the NW corner of 8th and Willow, right across from Mrs. Coffee
Cafe Cacao 🎉
Love Kacao! That spot and Cafe Antigua are two of my favorite brunches in the city.
Jk chef Rowling downtown is amazing 👏
Yes!
Honestly, a solid list. I haven't been to any of them aside Goro. Point is, I already trust your tastes. You should review them in a more deep-dive way.
Appreciate the feedback.

You need to get out of the art district and explore other areas of Oklahoma City 🤦🏻
I've been exploring all over this city for more than 40 years. 🖖
Most of these "top" lists are worthless. In this case, they list THEIR favorites. That's fine. If I am in OKC, I will check them out. However, my first stop is Cattleman Steakhouse. A filet, lamb testicles, and the big salad. Breakfast & Dinner. I'll have to start early.
Any such list would be subjective, wouldn’t you agree? Cattlemen’s is a popular spot and loved by many!
Hell yeah, the Mont! I live just about a mile away, sometimes stop there on my bike ride home from work and have a beer and nachos!
Legendary Norman spot!
