Amazing ! OK law makers are far sighted, every state should have this law. However, more value could be added to this law by adding a provision restricting corporations from buying single family homes .

I've heard of cities, particularly Vancouver offhand, that have had their massive real estate bubbles inflated in large part by investment from foreign speculators with cash to park in any kind of investment. That sounds like a much more important reason to clamp down on foreign real estate ownership.

The law is good! As someone who worked in the Criminal Justice system; many criminal activities involved the use of non-citizens as mules to go out of the state through the open borders for money laundering.

It does not hurt anyone. Hopefully it will curb the amount of land being bought by foreign interests in rural OK. Purchasing land is out of reach for most rural Oklahomans. The land grab started with the idoitic "medical" marijuana law. We need federal laws to stop the purchase of our farm land by Chinese and other foreign interests.

Oklahoma is a very conservative state, not a progressive/democrat state. This new law is not designed to 'hurt' law abiding citizens, but to deny illegal land acquisition by foreign corporations though a proxy. As an Oklahoman, I stand by this law and our governor.

I don't think those were unintended consequences. I think those are exactly what the bill was intended to do. The whole marijuana and Chinese part was just a ruse to get the bill passed without much fanfare. Oklahoma isn't what you'd call a progressive state. I think this state would be happy if they could devise a way to roll the calendar back to 1960. Just an opinion of someone who moved here back in 2020.
