what clutch was in this at this time of the video? My car is running the bNR3071 with the XDi HPFP and injectors, but the Spec Stage3+ clutch and Spec LW flywheel are very chattery. Ive been told its normal and some say it eventually goes away..but its def noticeable and I'm only at 1200mi on a fully built motor/clutch.

Content is great but the videography is realllly short of good.. turn off the auto focus and light adjustment or add more light during your production. PLEASE - thanks.

I had same issue but with an oil passage. Its a low speed preignition make sure your engine oil is API spec SP you need a 97 or greater octain fuel too.

Very informative! Taking off the axle was a smart move and only a few extra steps. I only have one gripe: Camera operator should've used a light. It would've helped tremendously since there was a lot of backlighting from the open roll-up door. It also would've helped with focusing the camera at times. But, hindsight, as they say, is 20/20. Still, a great walkthrough of how to swap out the factory turbo.

Whats holding the radiator up? You're missing the entire lower support... You wont really notice a functional oil cooler until you're really tracking it, the oil temps stay fairly low without a cooler just driving around. When its being 'hot lapped' or driven like its stolen for a few minutes solid maybe. I only put on my Mishimoto cooler (with thermostatic plate) for track days. A plus is, with the FL-400S oil filter (.25qts extra over stock), and the right oil cooler (.75qts), you gain a full quart of oil capacity.

Hello Trey! Thanks for all the wonderful information you provide! My OEM 2016 ST was diagnosed with a turbo failure and I'm concerned the motor could have other issue(s) due to some "extended" oil change intervals (~ > 5000m) I subjected it to. Should I open up the valve cover and maybe the oil pan to inspect for sludge accumulation? I'm looking at approximately $5k in repairs at the dealer. I'm worried there could be other unseen issues that led to the turbo failure. Any advice would be priceless. Thank you.

I bought a 13’ ST with 105k miles on it back in november. Absolutely no problems with it. If you keep up on regular maintenance, I promise you you will have little to no problems. These 2.0 ecoboosts are extremely reliable and you can beat the heck out of em, as long as you take care of them. I highly recommend buying one! You won’t regret it.

game changer being able to remove the engine from the front..and not have to lift over the frame or drop it below (not all of us have lifts). I run the BNR3071, XDi hpfp, RS injectors, and am likely around the 430whp mark.. the ringlands failed on cylinder 1 recently after about 10k miles on the big turbo set up.. i have good PCV/OCC set up, change oil regularly, use Mobil 1 Synthetics, etc... these engines just werent meant for that kind of power. Going with a full Manley rod/piston set up so hopefully I can up it to 500whp (with XDi injectors) and get a lot more miles out of it this time!
@dham994 ай бұрын
Im surprised you have a built engine with a bigger turbo, and are running a factory PCV plate and not a baffled Radium or Damond. Especailly with things off, its easy to upgrade and you gain additional PCV ports for additional OCCs.
