    So may I ask what is the difference between this current trade for Hardaway and the trade Weaver made for Harris last year? Seems eerily similar. So far even the draft moves look the same. Not that I'm down on Holland. Thought it was a great pick. Weaver drafted another very similar wing in Ausar. So far this looks exactly like last year. So hopefully there's more moves to come. Nobody is asking for instant playoff team. What people want to see is tangible improvement from the roster and the product on the floor that people are are paying to support. Do fans get a "patience" discount for their support the last 4 years? Langdon knew the situation coming in. So he better get thick skin. It's time to move this thing forward.

  • @ethankinnunen4839

    THJ is a much better player, so he'll actually be playing some valuable minutes. So there's that, but refresh my memory, did we get 3 second rounders in the JH trade? As far as your last comment. Trajan is an idiot if he makes moves strictly because it's been too long since the Pistons have been competitive, so now it's time because the fans are impatient. Doing that will just create a team that sits at the bottom of the playoffs, but is never a contender.

  • @Truthtella
    @Truthtella15 сағат бұрын

    For Harris alone 2 seconds. So 4 years is not enough patience. So how many more years must people support a team that won't do right by them?

  • @ethankinnunen4839

    @@Truthtella Doing right by the fans is putting together a mediocre team? Because that's all you're going to get if you rush this! I get that this team is bad and isn't where we wanted it to be, but for all the bad Weaver did, at least he left us in a place that we can actually go up. Trajan has the luxury of not needing to break it all down like Weaver did. My opinion so far is that Trajan will do a better job, how long it takes will depend on the development of some young guys. With luck, that'll only be a couple of years.

    Aight can we stop saying this team was the worst team like the players aren't good..monty could of coached better we could of had 10 more win n something to build on for this year injured players all year cade coming back it was a lot weaver not helping getting better vets..talk about that these players aren't bad..one of the ESPN host had us winning 35 games n up last season..so he thought we was at least good enough to winn that many games..when u can't win n have the record n losing with 28 straight games that's coaching

  • @Truthtella
    @Truthtella17 сағат бұрын

    Facts everybody really underplays how these players were set up for failure with Monty. Especially Ivey. The 14 wins was a coaching issue not the talent of the players. I watch Casey purposely tank games with a lesser team than the one last year. Monty cost Detroit about 7-10 games this year. So I totally agree.

    Langdon will get a year . The fans are sick and tired of losing with the money he has he must go after a decent free agent screw this take on bad contracts for assets. His first draft ok because there wasn't much there...no coach yet come on man get It done...

    The trade sucks. If this was Weaver, you would have roasted him. Hardaway is older, plays no defense, makes 12 million more than Grimes and 3 2nd rd is not a good trade. I would have rather have Langdon use that extra 12 million on a free agent even if he had used it to overpay. Call a spade a spade. As for drafting Ron Holland, I have no problem. None of the other choices were distinctively better. Plus he is probably the best player available.

    I think we need to take it easy with the Langon defense. No one is saying we don't want him here or that he should be fired. We just didn't love his first few moves. We're entitled to our opinions as fans. At the end of the day all that matters is winning so if they improve no one will care. As a former "trust in troy" guy this podcast helped me break out of that years ago. How about we just judge each move individually and and we'll start making judgements on the overall job he's doing until after at least 1 season.

    I'm not attached, but we only had 2 wings who could shoot and play defense. Grimes was one of them. The problem I have is Dallas was desperate to get rid of THJ, there was no reason to send any assets back to Dallas for this salary dump. Would have rather kept Grimes and only took back two 2RP with THJ. Maybe there is more to his knee injury that could be an issue or maybe he really didn't want to be here. I have no knowledge of those things that Trajan would, so I will defer, but this is not a slam dunk of a trade.

    All we've talked about for years is we need a 3&D wing, someone who can space the floor and knock down 3s. Matas Buzelis only only made *_27% of his 3s._* Shouldn't that be a red flag? However, he did shoot 41% in high school right? Plus now Trajan has hired a great shooting coach, before hiring a head coach. Hmm. Ok. In the last 3 weeks or so seems like someone, (The Pistons?), has been floating the Buzelis test balloon out there. Now it "Seems" almost *_All_* draft boards have us taking him. Man. 'Feels' like Tellem's tentacles reaches even into the mocks. Matas may not be able to shoot 3s but he has good size and can do everything else right? Ok. I get it. But gee. That kinda' sounds like Ausar Thompson. But he only shot 18% from 3. Matas has him beat by about 10%. Great! So they're gonna risk, possibly, waiting an entire season to see if this guy can shoot 3s or at least regain his 3 pt form. But...if available, we may pass on guys shooting 38% and above on 3s for a player shooting 27%. Unbelievable. Peace 2 U

    For me it depends on the direction they want to go next season. I genuinely don't believe we can make the play in next season, even with the guys we are "projected" to have interest in because that's all just speculations. I would much rather prefer we chase what the Pacers, Magic and Utah Jazz did last year and just compete instead of chase the play in. If he doesn't mind not being competitive for another year then yeah sign him to the max, but if not then trade him. I'd rather us chase for better assets and younger guys who fit around Cade than what if's like Brandin Ingram, Malik Monk, and Nic Claxton who don't even move the needle for their current teams.
