How are you preventing the epoxy from going inside the mug?
@@pennypontillo3051 I don't move my fingers so that I pull any epoxy into the rim of the cup. If you notice when I apply epoxy, I always push out towards the edge. It will get some inside the mouth of the cup but I just clean that out with a razor blade and acetone afterwards. I actually have a video somewhere here on my channel where I show how I clean up the rims of the cups
Couldn't hurt to learn. The one i have is a cheapie from the dollar store and it keeps rotating itself out.
Thanks for the video 😊 Timestamps: 0:21 - eye contact solution 3:43 - baby oil 6:35 - Elmer’s glue 10:43 vegetable glycerin
@@Queenieb03 thank you for the time stamps!
Do you let the paint coat dry before applying the second coat of epoxy?
@@kathylafreniere8104 yes, let it dry between every coat of paint or epoxy
How pretty! I cannot wait to make one. Please give me the link for the cute stickers!
Can u make this with uv resin?
@@nunyabusiness1999 yes you can 🙂
How much Do you sell them for
Ugh I broke a mug because I put too much pressure and now I’m scare how do you know what’s the correct pressure.
Oh no! I'm always nervous about that too but I just make sure I don't have to push too hard when closing the press. Hopefully it wasn't a big mess for you!
I am still amazed at when sometimes the foil applied is never talked about or listed. OR maybe I missed it
Are you asking what kind of foil was applied?
Thank you Hubby for sharing your beautiful wife with us😃thanks for giving such wonderful instructions.❤
You should add less glue. Try lower down your glue ratio and add more distilled water. Some people like slow effect.
I have a question. I did 2 wood grain tumblers with alcohol inks. Painted them white, did the whole ink-wood process like you did, let them dry overnight. I applied the 1st layer of epoxy and BOTH fish-eyed on me, as well as pulled my ink up and into the epoxy!! All of my hard work gone. What I can't figure out is WHY I got fish eyes?! They weren’t covered in oils, but it's not like I could wipe them down with alcohol or it would remove the ink. Any advice? Thanks
Oh no! What spray paint did you use?
I realize this video is a few year's old but just came across it. I absolutely love your video's. I've only seen a few so far, if you've answered this question on a video o haven't seen yet im sorry. Do you sell these ? How much do you charge if so. Im a bit confused on how brushing that paint on makes it look like wood, it actually did but how? Im waiting on on $$ for more supplies. Id really like to try something WITHOUT glitter
I'm not currently selling them, just teaching others how to do it. When you brush the alcohol ink onto the spray painted pen, as it dries and you brush it, it gives a wood grained look to it. Check out the video I posted about doing the wood grain tumbler, is the exact same process, just a larger object. It will probably make a bit more sense watching it done on a larger object. I hope this helps!
And thank you so much for watching and the kind words! 🥰
Can you a tutorial on how you make the deal you put on the hat?
Thank you so much. This was such a clear and helpful video ❤
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching! ❤️
I literally was sitting here thinking the quickest way to make this design is the same way you did it but I didn't want to chance spotting/dimpling but I honestly did not think to use the mod podge for adhering vs epoxy. I just never use mod podge so I appreciate this video. I needed to do this design fast and this is it! thank you thank you lol
Can anyone tell me where she got the cup from
Amazon
This is beautiful. How do you keep the inside clean? I end up with a lot of epoxy inside.
Thank you I have been wanting to make some I now will I have everything I need would love to send you p pictures when I'm done
Opalina glitter I can't find buy that so where???
Bee Jays glitter closed down a few months ago. I have a glitter that is very similar called Salty Kisses. It's at kccglitter.com
How much was it in all
What size did you do the leopard print?
Nice
😊😊😊
What brand name for contact solution
It was just a cheap Walmart brand contact solution.. I think Equate
Is this regular sublimation paper you’re using?
Yes ma'am, it's just regular sublimation paper
Have you tried patches at all with it?
I haven't but my friend does patches with hers all the time... She loves it
Are you using the baby oil only or mixing with water?
They came out beautiful! Did you sand the tumblers before painting them?
Thank you for this. I just got this machine for my birthday. I've never sublimated before. The machine says not to heat it up without a cup in it yet I see hardly no one do that.....that doesn't mess up the machine or cause it to bubble? If you do use one do you just use an extra one you have laying around? I'm so confused by that.
Love it!!!! Hi, did you clean with alcohol after sanding? Thanks ☺️
At the place I went, she used anesthesia to numb the area. I think the needle hurt more than the tattoo.
Oh wow! Mine used some numbing cream that helped slightly but she didn't like to reapply it. 🤷🏼♀️

I can’t find a list of everything I need especially what kinda epoxy I’m going to hobby lobby now
I'm getting ready to try my first snow globe tumbler. Do you recommend fine or chunky glitter?
I can't find the heater or hose attachments.
Wow nice❤
Beautiful Smile ma'am 😍 🤎
Do you still like this hat press thinking about getting this one?
I actually don't make many hats but one of my best friends does. I gave her this hat press a while back to clear up some room in my craft room and she uses it every single day for her business... She absolutely loves it. She makes hats in bulk for businesses and it is perfect for her.
I’m just getting started in learning to do tumblers. Can you explain what you do when you prep a tumbler? Do you use sand paper on it?
Welcome to the world of tumblers! Lol! Just sand the tumbler with sandpaper to rough up the service. I like to wash with dawn then wipe with acetone afterwards just to make sure there's no oil from my hands on it.
I used glycerin and water not sure it works well
I was wondering if you would know or anyone if lens cleaner would work?
This will save me a fortune on my airsoft gear. I did not want to have to make my own stock
Kristi, how did you make your tumbler turns?
I just love these, and have never done one before... So trying to learn everything! These are beautiful!
I think ur suppose to put a blank tumbler in while it heats to keep it from messing up miss 😅
This was pretty until all that white was added
Hello, I just find you and I'm glad I did. Right after watch this tutorial I try to sublimated my snowglobe but it was a catastrophic. I did the same parameters you mentioned (400 degrees for 120 sec, rotated and do another 120sec)(light to medium pressure) Well the paper stick in the glass that it can't be remove. Don't know what I did wrong, if youknow or might know would you please help me?
I had the paper stick on some metal sublimation tumblers and I found out that it was my paper that was the problem. When I ordered new paper, it didn't stick anymore.
How did you get the hole at the bottom? I'm new to all of this, and my family challenges me every time.
The cups actually already came with holes in them. 😊 Since making this video, I've been ordering my glass globe tumblers from Stainless Steel Depot and they are great.
Love your video! Quick, simple and easy. Your cups came out beautifully!
Thank you! ❤️
Why can't I find the "tumbler epoxy" epoxy you mention on your site? I would really like to find a good tumbler epoxy. The counter culture DIY fast set seems to almost set too fast for me, and I don't have the patience for a lot of others.
Do you have a video showing how that turner was made? That's awesome!
