I feel ya. You know, a tip I've heard for sketchbooks is to designate a category or style for each one. Like, one is for cutesy cartoony critters. Another is for drawing people. Etc. And then something I've done is when I watch a sketchbook ideas video, I write down the ones that sound interesting to me on scrap paper and tape it inside the front cover of my current sketchbook =) The bugs are cool, and those leaf sheep and the... sea fairies? sea hedgehog? are adorable =)

Oh, hey, I was hand sewing while watching this. I've FINALLY gotten around to adding pockets on one of my jumpers (sleeveless dress)--well, I need to do all the pocketless ones, but one is a start, lol. Anyway, fun project! I had a bunch of Klutz books/kits as a kid, and I loved them. I look forward to seeing what you do next =)

@@RoseRequinCrafts Hi Rose thank you, I need the DISTRACTION.
This kit looks fun! My nephew has been wanting to learn sewing, this would be a great kit to teach him with.

You have so much more patience than I would have. 30 seconds in and my fabric hot glue and fabric paints would have deployed! Of course it would have also lost many enjoyable hours and robbed me of a learning experience.

Even though I've been hand sewing things for years, I never have gotten that kind of ending knot to work. If you still want highlights on the eyes, you could use a white out pen.

I've eyed this kit before and was curious about it, I'm so tempted to get it. If you're into sewing 3D felt things and want to delve into it more, check out 'How to Sew Little Felt Animals' by Sue Quinn. I've made one animal from it and really love how it came out. There's also 'The Wind in the Willows Felt Friends' by Cynthia Treen, which I have but haven't made anything from yet. It's so cute though and even has a pattern for a wingback chair for your little creations to sit on.

Recently I went to a bar that claimed to have vegan hot dogs, and since I'm not supposed to have beef, I opted for that. ..They gave me a gosh darned CARROT ON A BUN. Not even a shaved carrot so it was all king of the same length, just a full on sort-of steamed carrot. On a bun. And it's like WHY. I see you have impossible burgers, why not impossible dogs?? ...This all stems from you saying carrots are not a treat. xD Apples were my treat growing up, I loved to eat 3-4 after school every day.

Honestly, this looks like a really good kit to teach the beginner stitches for both sewing and embroidery. That being said, I feel like french knot would have been a better choice for the eye highlights - it's not a difficult stitch to do, but it looks like it is. Still a really good kit, and you can re-use the pattern pieces they give you to make even more little plushies!

That was the most complicated way of making a knot I've seen! Not sure I could manage that 😳 I've always stuck with the way I was taught in elementary school: wrapping the thread around your index finger a couple of times and then just pulling your finger out and tightening the knot to the end of the thread. If this makes any sense 😂
@tmntleo5 күн бұрын
Surprises me they tell you to tie a knot with the thread, I've never tied knots and just always tucked the treads.
