I love that the finger is painting 😆 It's so cool to see the flower in person! And feel the texture of it too. LOL portobello burgers are so good! And pickles. But, I do agree that bananas overpower most foods. My gross smoothie would contain two main ingredients : onions & garlic. 😖 I'm currently working on the sketch for the prompt you chose for me!! Can't wait to share! 😊

I never see anyone talk about how streaky markers can get and so I just thought I was really bad at using them! This was really comforting.

I thought having an actual finger painting was an ingenious idea! Good job!

It would be so easy to redo this and only show/glue in a second attempt without telling anyone. As a new artist, I really appreciate watching your process. It's helping me bring less judgement to my creative process. Also the flower is pretty and the finger is hilarious 😭

I absolutely loved the flower! I thought it was fantastic

The washi tape is there to keep your painting from warping. You need to leave the was tape on as the painting dries!

People tape down mixed media paper to prevent the warping while drying but it also gives a clean edge if you paint up to the edge of the tape

I’m watching this whole playlist and it’s funny coming from a sweet mushroom loving story to a mushroom bashing story 😂💕💕 your art is beautiful

This is the coolest challenge, I cannot wait to see what everyone creates, the mixed media gives such gorgeous textures ☺☺

They both came out awesome!!! I can’t wait to see them in person 😁😁 If you ever want to brave large areas of marker again, a couple of suggestions: Firstly, don’t use mixed media paper as it holds onto the ink too much, get a thick (250gsm+) blending paper if you can. Secondly if you have any refill ink I’ve found the best way to get a nice background is to wet it with either the blender ink or an isopropyl alcohol first, then use a fluffy makeup brush to apply the refill ink alone in a buffing motion. It’s pretty fun 😁 Anyhoo, I’m off to binge all you other videos now 🩵💚💜

the way you described hating pickles is the way I feel for a lot of food, especially chicken wings and fried chicken. The bones freak me out, and plus it's dry AF on the inside!!

I am thankful for this collaboration because I was looking for new KZread channels to add to my watch list. So, yay for me! I think painting such a small image with your fingers must have been difficult. 20 odd years ago (round about) I was still in high school and for my final in one of my art classes I decided to do a "larger than life fingerpainting" I kind of admired Chuck Close and even though my idea was not exactly to follow him, he did inspire me. I also really liked impressionist paintings, and the two seemed to work very well with eachother. Your smoothie also really made me smile, because I have hypersomnia and there are definately foods I avoid because of the smell. I can't even get to the point of "eatting" some foods just because the smell is so intense I will literally pass out. Pickles are my biggest food problem. Second would be boiled eggs, and third is olives. Though I do LOVE the way mishrooms taste, I can understand your avoidance of them, as I felt that way most of my life because I had always been given canned mushrooms. But in 2007, I started working as a chef on a train and one of my favorite foods was a mushroom burger that I had to make from raw mushrooms. It was absolutely fantastic! But, I am never one to food shame anyone for NOT liking a food. The banana thing made me laugh also, because like you said "You like banana bread" and in my personal opinion banana bread is the only way a banana should ever be enjoyed. They just have such a strong smell/flavor that they kind of take over. There is no such think as a strawberry banana smoothie. Its a banana smoothie which happens to be pink.

Ohhh, that flower came out gorgeous!! I would've said the base for the smoothie was Pepto-Bismol though because yuck, that stuff is awful. xD Amazing job though, they both look so good!!

I have book one and two but I haven’t done anything in them. I’m so intimidated. I’m not good at drawing and I feel like I’m going to ruin them. I know that’s silly but it’s just how I feel. 😔 Maybe someday! This is really great!

I feel the same way everytime I draw ANYTHING. But you can always do it on a separate sheet of paper and glue it in. Then you can redo it as many times as you feel like you need to.

You know . I completely agree on you with the olives. I don't think I remember what an olive tastes like, but that texture is very very evil. I also am bothered by their appearance. So small and scary and the red thing in the middle ... They're my enemies 😊 The smoothie drawing was really good tho! It made me crave a normal, non-olived strawberry smoothie lolz And Honestly! The finger painting seemed really fun! I would be curious to see what you could do IF u ever return to it. Very nice !!!
