    I happen to LOVE egg in my fried rice so I would probably use 3 instead of 2.

    It's a good thing you added MSG, otherwise 10,000 Chinese would scream for justice and call you fake.

    Now this is going to be a lot of work doing all of this (thank you for doing all of this!) but the challenge is accepted, I am going to do this. I love the old Chipotle and rarely go there any more because it just is not as good as it used to be. And the fact that I can prep and store a lot of this is fantastic. I am going to do some research and see if I can actually can some of the sauces for shelf storage. This is going to be fun.

    I know it sounds silly, but I was never able to recreate their guac. I think it was actually the chips! I think I needed to add the citrus juice to the chips, just enough to give it a tangy flavor. Thank you! I will be making this for sure

    Very good. I’ve never had the original, but I’ve had the one from the store. It’s good, but this one is better. I also make a basic one with out the butter. I add some sriracha to mine as well.

    Being a manager and working prep and grill at chipotle I took most of the recipes to heart and can just do it by feeling now. Making it home made is just so much nicer and ALOT more healthier too

    I did a short stint at Chipotle many years ago. For the corn salsa, I can't recall if there were already poblanos with the corn or if there were no poblanos. I do remember we would use diced red onions and jalapenos. While we did have the citrus juice, I remember we used fresh squeezed limes. We also used squeezed limes for the guacamole and chips. Your manager impression needs asking the employees to recite cult-like mantras randomly at the drop of a hat. One of the things that really put me off working there. Memorizing and being able to recite the mantras was a requirement for continued employment.

    Would pre-bottled lemon and lime juice be okay? What would be the ratio?

  • @farmageddon
    @farmageddon3 күн бұрын

    For sure! I would do 60% lemon 40% lime. I haven't verified this. But off the top of my head it seems right.
