    Fantastic (holy part 5!) How you do fly the drone and play at the same time?

  • @GaryHayes
    @GaryHayes4 күн бұрын

    Cheers AWH - glad you liked some of it! I fly the drone usually while I am patching and at the end. There is a mode (Mastershots) on my drone that will do a variety of shots in 2 minutes, so I set a few of those going, at the end I will generally fly manually, holding the controller near the rack so it looks like i am still playing.

    Thanks for a great breakdown of your workflow. As someone new to modular it makes me realise that I’m still very much in the overwhelm stage. I have a good rounded setup in my view, but I don’t have a clearly defined workflow or treat my system is a discrete all-in-one synth. Feels like a long road ahead!

  • @GaryHayes
    @GaryHayes15 күн бұрын

    Thanks FS - yes this rack is a simple modular one and aimed at a very specific genre I suppose. I think my more sophisticated rack and likely yours, really requires some thinking about flow, even down to best placement of modules for patching relationships - in fact I am getting a little OCD over that, but it is definitely paying off now and speeds up my patch from scratch flow on that rack ... have fun!!

  • @GaryHayes
    @GaryHayes19 күн бұрын

    Cheers Phil - I meant that length of the final piece I struggle to keep at 4 minutes long ... so many people are slaves to the KZread algorithm and people telling them to not do long form because it will affect their rating (apparently 'the percentage people view your video' if a big factor whether it will be recommended to others or not - so people watching a) 70% of a 4 minute video vs b) 10% of a 40 minute video, then 'a' will be recommended much more ... we have such low attention spans now :)

  • @PhilipTaylor_007
    @PhilipTaylor_00719 күн бұрын

    @@GaryHayes Yeah. That’s what I meant (a 4min performance) wrong wording on my part. Well I for one, cannot/will not perform anything under 10/15mins, as it takes me (not like you) a long time to get a patch sounding the way I want. But I will perhaps get quicker with more experience, on the other hand, I don’t care how long it takes as I am just enjoying the journey of each idea. Hope that make sense.
