29 years of supporting NUFC through thick & thin from Malaysia. The late Bobby Robson is my favourite manager, Eddie Howe is close 2nd in my opinion. He is ambitious, very knowledgeable bout the game & care bout us fan base. Once he start win trophies for us, he'll definitely b consider Elite head coach. I'll giv him time, he earn the time to build his own team. #NUFC #ToonArmy #HWTL

Story of our season; just not getting the results we needed when it mattered, for whatever reason. Even grinding our way to a European place via league position wasn't enough to get into Europe. Fighting the world is exhausting. Based on UEFA's own rules, Man Utd should be booted out of the Europa league because INEOS also own Nice who have already qualified for the same competition and finished their season in a higher league position, but they won't. Chelsea should be booted out of Europe altogether because they basically sold their own training ground to themselves for a grossly inflated fee to dodge FFP/PSR, but they won't. Apart from those naughty villa boys being a fly in the ointment, normal service has almost resumed, with the "big six" back at the top of the tree and taking all of the domestic trophies (and all of the dolla) between them, and the PL suits will be delighted. The silver lining in the cloud of having no football friends whatsoever, is that when we eventually have our snouts in the trough on a regular basis at the expense of one of the cartel, it will taste so much sweeter.

Reviewing the Man U game, saying we should have had a pen, our xg was better and they had players back smacks of cognitive bias. The fact is, the manager has one dimension, as soon as good teams work it out, they’re fucked. He relays on the crowd the majority of home games. Howe is a one trick pony with a big budget.

Can we have Mick Martin on every week, please. And in relation to some of the comments posted below, being impatient for success is not the same as being 'entitled'. If you were old enough to remember the trauma of '74 (and every other failure since) you'd understand that. After 50+ years, it's reasonable to expect more than the Japan Cup.

Re commercial income, why have we not yet done a deal for naming rights of SJP. That should easily substitute the income potentially earned from missing out on the Conference League. In the past I would have been against selling the naming rights, but nowadays with FFP fans, unless they have not bothered to read up on FFP, should strongly support the additional income stream.

True negativity podcast 😅 We’re not building revenue fast enough, we’ve got a small club mentality. 15 years of not building the clubs infrastructure has led us being behind the big 6, things take time. Revenue is massively up, playing squad massively improved, all indicators show we’re getting better poor season and we still finished 7th.

The cups have already been the focus!!! Unless you forgot the Carabao cup final and two quarter finals this season, compared to getting knocked out in the 3rd round year upon year under MA!! What sort memories you have. Probally the type of supporter who called for Sir Bobby Robson to be sacked!!! no transfers in January!!! Try for one minute to work out why that was or are you too dumb to realise???? I will give you a clue FFP!! Would you rather over spend and be docked points?? How was last summers transfer window a failure? no one could foresee the tonali betting issues and yet could still be a success over the length of his contract and become a toon legend and Hall is starting to shine and will become the cornerstone of the defence along with tino for the next ten years!! this must be the podcast of doom . The board have delivered on every single promise to date, and right now are working on other sponsorship deals, yet some are never satisfied and come across as fans who only been supporting the club for two years!!

Poor December cost us, including big individual errors that knocked us out of the league cup. Felt like we managed to turn the season around at the end but struggled to score against the worst Man United team in PL history. Bar a few good moments, I'm just glad it's over and we can go again.

December was a nightmare. Out of Europe, out of the league cup, beaten by Forest, Luton, Everton and Spurs. Any 2 wins from those 6 losses could've changed our entire season. Hey ho, it's done now and there's nothing we can do about it.

What’s with the doom and gloom, let’s not forget there are some very good teams in the PL and some are used to winning and competing, to finish top 6 is going to mean 2 very big clubs miss out, to finish top 4 a very good squad is needed…. Newcastle needs more time, just look at the players that will leave this season, 6/7 players that be lucky to get a game elsewhere….. I do agree Newcastle needs to find a big game mentality

You can't say "we've GOT to win a cup". The draw is everything and if we get one of the top 4 it'll be difficult. Top 4-5 and good cup runs knocked out by top 4 is still upwards trajectory. Consistently in Europe and, in a few years, winning stuff is a reasonable and sustainable upwards curve.

The tone of some of the comments/podcast is reminiscent of the Sir Bobby Robson days when we finished 5th. We have the 9th highest wage bill, every team including Villa who finished above us have spent a lot more than us. Instead of praising a job well done we are hyping focusing on the smaller number of results that didn't go our way. There is absolutely nothing about this club that is top 4 quality it will take years of building to get there. Last season has really brought the worst out of some of our fans who are now showing delusional expectations as to where we are as a club

  • @rocketiain84

We could and would have probably got top 4 again with a better sqaud with less injuries having sandro etc etc. Whats worrying is we havnt cashed in whilst other better off clubs flounder, by all accounts man utd are a total mess and they have still won more trophies in the last 2 years when we have been "class". We simply need more winners and better players, no more miggies, dummets ritchies etc etc. No europe next season might be a god send while we enact and rebuild on what we learned in last 2 yrs. Howe NEEDS top 4 or a trophy though or he will 100% be compared to a say Hughes at city at that point on their journey come end of next season...

I get the disappointment, but I'm seeing too many fans seem to be becoming like fans of other 'big' clubs who think their team has a right to win. OK, some results were disappointing, but I remember when Man Utd won their first title after decades they only beat Sheffield United at home with two injury time goals from, of all people, Steve Bruce. Opposition teams are also trying to win: and sometimes they succeed. As for signings, the club is obviously seeking to address the top-heavy nature of the squad inherited from Ashley, infusing it with young players who take time to properly mature. Given PSR rules, you're either buying Livramentos and Halls or proven top level journeymen like Chris Wood. I know which I would prefer now that Premier League safety is no longer an issue.

We aren’t ready to become a big club. There is not a winning culture running through the club, never has been. You need a big personality to change this. The fanbase makes us somewhat big in England. Newcastle is far too loyal and doesn’t have the ruthlessness to be winners. One more season of Howe and that’s enough. If we win a trophy or make top 4 then he stays.

Can someone actually do so research into PSG. Your comments just sound stupid, and ill informed. Ashworth left because Brialsford is his best mate. Man U have the same issues with their bloated wage bill. None of you have a clue about Dougie Freedman. He is a Palace club legend. Like Solano or Shearer. Would either of those two swap Tyneside for South West London fofr a few more quid? No of course not. Do better, this podcast is disappointing and you are all just whining babies. We finsihed 10 points off 4th. 3 wins and a draw. The players let themslves down in so many matches this season. We are where we are becuase its where we deserve to be. With regard to the commercials at the club. How many 10+ million dollar multi year deals have you guys worked on? Zero. So you zero point of reference on how a deal like that gets done. We are in an excellent position from where we were. This summer and, next season is the period in which judgement can begin to be justifed. Not one team in the modern era has gone from relegation fodder to champions league then finished just 10 points behind 4th with 11+ first team players missing for moat of the season. 😊

The honeymoon period from the takeover is well and truly over. I think that there have been some really poor decisions made by the Club. In terms of the team development, I have been and remained positive, this positivity is now waning. The Champions League came too soon and this has taken the focus off of team building. I absolutely love Eddie Howe and what he has done. It really feels like next season could be his last, regardless of all of our injury problems. I hope that I’m wrong but my gut feeling is that the Club will possibly look to recruit a new manager next season if we don’t come out of the blocks. This summer transfer window is pivotal. We need to stop acting like a team that’s just been promoted. We are currently in a period of stagnation. #howaythemags 🖤🤍
