    I’ve been debating getting a muzzle device compatible with my xeno hub to put on my 16 inch faxon pencil barrel lightweight rifle. Thought about putting together another one with the faxon gunner barrel. My Rosco k9 12.5 inch barrel should run great with a can. Good video

    Just got mine made the mistake of getting 1.50 instead of the 1.95 cantilever scope mount but got a 1 inch riser mount so im still happy with it because i can see over my LAM. The throw lever gets in the way of my 45 degree offset Reddot and its very stiff. Im impressed with the scope especially with the extras and the details of inspection and QC. Not a fan of the HUGE D LOL. I this is definitely my new go to budget optic didn't see the coupon part but still happy at night it has a slit glare not as bad as another brand i have but im also impressed nice review

    For anyone having issues with the ear pro being loose on the arc adaptor, use JB weld plastic bonder 2 part epoxy on the ends of the wire and into the holes with a toothpick. Once it’s cured, I wrapped the wire and plastic piece on the ear pro with black electrical tape to keep dirt and water out. Seems pretty sturdy for the time being I’ll update if it doesn’t work out. Costs like 7 bucks at wal mart.

    Beyond seclusion ps video proves that no 18” barrel shoots all 3 versions of AAC 5.56 ammo doesn’t shoot 2700fps 77 gr is 2500 plus and 55 gr isn’t 3175 fps it’s only 2800 plus fps out of a 18” barrel on camera ! I’ll say it again your 16” barrel will never get the advertised velocity because they test out of a 24” barrel for almost all factory ammo that I’ve seen even the reloading manuals for there data is almost always out of a 24” barrel !

    Parallax is particularly important Not to have when using these on a rifle or slug gun as a piggyback or primary, for the longer shots using unorthodox aiming head positions. BTW I have an awesome mod for your PVS14 that few know about that will greatly increase its usability at longer ranges if your interested in getting details. Great review....keep it up.... however you missed a few very important details that the "savvy" experienced look for. Pay attention China PARALLAX (movement of reticle off target with head shift or when reticle approaches the perimeter edges of the glass) And ALUMINUM TYPE ( Ghinaesium, 6061, 7075 and also any treatment designation eg: T6, as well as the type of hard coat anodization of which there are several) No disrespect, just making constructive criticism, Iron sharpens Iron so to speak

    @poortac55688 күн бұрын

    no disrespect received lol. They say its 7075 aluminum, but dont mention what kind of anodizing or coating used. I doubt its T6. Its design mitigated the need for more expensive metal though, imo. Parallax is great, no noticeable shift. It looks very similar to my Eotech, I was pretty impressed with I just checked. Most cheaper units I have tested have a noticeable shift near the edge, as you said 👍

So know you will most likely not be able to use this on a Zev cut slide, unless your post are slightly larger than spec. It also looks sweet on a MP5 btw.

    Passive aiming with night vision? On a pistol or rifle? Also, what is your price range of “poverty tier”? The answer may change based on your answer, but the Holosun 407 that PSA carriers would be the lowest price optic that I would trust my life to. Its a basic model without the solar panel. It comes in stock every now and then for under $200 if I remember correctly. palmettostatearmory.com/holosun-3moa-shake-awake-red-dot-pistol-sight-hs407a.html

    @@ozarkman291 no problem, thanks for the support 👍 Yeah, sometimes its better to “buy once, cry once”, but Im all for saving money where I can. If you are ok with an open emitter design and are trying to stay under $300, that dealer specific Holosun 407 model from Palmetto State Armory would be my choice. Its probably my favorite budget option, that really has no negatives, other than being an open emitter design. I dont see a practical use for the solar panel anyway, so this model saves $. An RMR type 2 would be more durable (if you dropped the rifle directly on the optic on concrete), but 3 times the price. You could try a Holosun EPS or 509, but both would most likely need an additional adapter plate. My choice personally, would be the 407. Hope that helps!

    I agree. Its about as tall as the larger enclosed red dots. Their rational was to help keep the dot in the window under recoil. There is no reason why they couldn’t, since it was a purposeful design choice.

    Probably worth noting, I did account for screw/mount errors by using and RMR to picatinny mount for my second "smack test" you can actually see it on the optic. A secure mount won't help with turrets that don't hold zero. I also verified the issue with everyone I know who had one as well, they can't handle being smack on the side at all. We had similar results in our pistol light test and were impressed with their newer ones, unfortunately this optic is doodoo at the moment...

Im gonna assume its a QC thing or the turret design isn’t consistent/reliable.

    I stock ppu m193 which is a hot loading like the Winchester and ADI ss109 since it has crimped and staked primers with a temp stable powder, they both group under 2” but I haven’t been able to get a 5 shot group under 1” yet. I use the hornady black 223 75gr for home defense since it’s the same as their tap t1 loading just cheaper. The aac 75gr is actually the same t1 bullet just with a cannelure and I have some on the way to test against the hornady. I also have a couple hundred federal xf223sp which is a 62gr trophy bonded bear claw that I got from sgammo, he still has some left plus a velocity test of them on his KZread. I found they hit within 1-2” of the adi 62gr with a 16 and 12.5 barrel.
