How often do you find that you don't have the correct faceplate for a particular brand of lock? Thank you
@locksmith-training Жыл бұрын
They do cover a good portion, if you don't have the absolute correct one, just find the size smaller than you need, and just finish with a chisel!

Do trend do a template for the common tubular latch and face plate ? I’ve been doing these for years with a 23mm spade bit, but as you know the hole for the tubular latches aren’t round
@locksmith-training Жыл бұрын
unsure I've had this many years, I'll usually cut in by hand as its not worth setting up for just one lock. Though I'm guessing there are plenty of different jigs available now.

Hi mate im torn between the gj and the souber - which one should i get mate - i done training with souber but the gj is more cost effective and seems to be built better? Please advise…
@locksmith-training Жыл бұрын
Very different question to answer. I have/use both, I actually use a combination every day. Souber’s has been available a long time, tried and tested. GJ’s was designed to work along side that then evolved. Either one I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
