996 generation grey was “seal grey”, not “dolphin “ 😂
What’s the disc underneath the rear spoiler - didn’t quite catch what it was or was for etc
Awesome build - had no idea that Alex is 4 miles from me!! I’ve been looking for a suspension place and can’t believe it plus need a brilliant bodyshop to look after my M3 and riviera is 28 miles so I’m chuffed to bits
I have a C4S with a Hartech engine. Properly sorted and very reliable. The moral of a 996 story is, don't buy cheap! It isn't!
I love it! The whole idea and execution screams period correct. The lower valence around the windshield is reminiscent of WW II aircraft and I can’t take my eyes off the car. You absolutely cannot make something like this and have it perfect, it would defeat the original vision. I’m only halfway through the video and I HAD to comment! Well executed guys!!!
this car changed me from wanting a 996 turbo, to getting a narrow body 996. I saw it at C&M years ago
Great video guys really enjoyed the time you both took over the 996.1 Beautiful car I own a 1999 996.1 c2 in the same colour had 3 possible cars to go for when I was looking for a 911 test drove a 997.1 c2 with high mileage a beautiful c4S and the one i bought she was the cheapest but to me it was the stand out drivers car of the 3. This was 8 years ago only after I bought her did I find out I had chosen (according to the internet) the ugly 911 still don’t get that negative vibes for the 996 I think she is stunning and a real event every time I take her out for a blast. PS she is a keeper never ever going to sell her.
So good to listen to the love for the 996, I have the 3.6 with the 3.9 Hartech and its a conversion worth doing. Mine was in need of rebuild with Bore wear and crank wear. made sense in man maths that the extra capacity was only a negligible uplift! This has inspired me to make mine my own with a few mods, mine is seal grey (haha) but I would love the natural brown or savanna interior. I have done the seat backs in body colour aswell as the centre console and it does lift the darker interior. I also like the thought of some BBS wheels plus the H&R roll bars, I have the same suspension setup with bilstein and H&R springs and its so good for a car that is driven regularly on roads rather than tracks. Thanks again for taking the time to make this, 996 isn't a bad 911 despite what the internet will tell you!
Absolutely insane! Loved this episode. Way off the norm here.
Awesome car by lovely people, rad.
This man made his own supercar👍😎respect
This guy is spot on, the opportunity for me now is using/custom building Boxsters or Cayman's, anything 911 has left the building in terms of cost. I guess it's having a cool vision as the mechanicals are an easy upgrade. With buy ins as low as £5k, someone just needs to do what these guys have done and have some fun with it.
Great that they paid you a visit. What a hybrid of a car but it really works. Aggressive, stylish, bonkers but above all it's great that this was made.
Built from the soul for the pure driving experience. Hat’s off to the design team. Interesting to see how this evolves into production.
Great vid! I’ve owned my ‘99 996 factory aero for 8 yrs now and have zero interest in anything else. Cheers!
oh does it come with ac😁
👍
Frank I really rate your interviewing style ❤
That white 911 Turbo LE is rare as feck👍👍👍
It's a Pord 930GT😮
American V8 powerhouse … I’m out of here
This is going to be a great watch for sure 👍
Damn, that's beautiful.
I have a 2000 silver 996 c2 with aero kit. It’s low mileage and looked after and I love it. The sound of the flat six is amazing
i have a 996.1 manual, October 97 built ... It is GREAT ... super fast and magnificent handler. They are smaller and very nimble compared to the modern lot. The 3.4 howls with a decent exhaust, and 1320kg is light ... Sublime cars!
I have two of these. A pumpkin orange 68, unrestored all original. I've done what l needed to do, had the paint "refreshed", new headliner, seats restitched etc. With 117k miles it still runs and looks great. The 67 came without running gear so now it has a 2.3 litre Penrose engine. The plan is to have a fully restored 912, all stock except for the engine so now it's apart to get painted. I have a 356 and some 911s but my first Porsche was a dark blue 66 912 that l bought in 75 for $3,000. I've loved them ever since
I don’t suppose you’re keen to sell one…? to a budding 912 fan looking for an affordable way in to Porsches?!
Raj has an insane collection, but this is the the most brilliant gem out of his stable. Cheers
Love this series. Subscriber count needs to blow up!
I love this guy. What a legend!! Visually it's not to my taste but then he didn't build it for me. Love his dedication.
Brilliant build.
Frank you’re so cool
This guy is a legend, probably the best you’ve ever had on your show. Wow, a definitive old school hardcore petrol head. Love it very much 👊🏿👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏿
This guy is a legend. What a great build!
That osr wheel and tyre is looking a a bit dodgy with bulge in the wheel and split tyre wall , hope he’s spotted that , the car looks absolutely amazing and he’s done some serious good looking work there
25:43 😮
Yea sorted
@@bobbyball5081 Love your practical details like the sockets in the frunk. I have a similar car with a 3.4 liter Carrera engine. So much fun in a small package. I used a Cyanoacrolyt adhesive named HB Fuller Cyberbond CB 2245 to glue the ends of the center filler rubber gasket.
What is this colour called? Big fan!
I think it’s the same as mine I have 1999 build 2000 reg C2 in Ocean Blue metallic it’s a colour that changes like the ocean in sun light
Mine is an ocean blue C4
Albeit you stated you were a do you type of guy. Bro you chastised him a bit about some of the mods he did to his car. Quite frankly I think it's beautiful.
Have the same in midnight blue. Fantastic car. Instead of the K&N the preowner of mine put a double sided airbox for better air flow in, which makes a good sound….
What's the name of that 912 group?...I happen to have a 'tastefully shitty' 1967 Light Ivory 912! Nice work!!
Der Scheisse Zwolfes
I’ve got a basalt black one added FVD Bombracher headers and Fabspeed exhaust and stage 2 it sounds great and feels 100 times faster.
I have a 991.1 GTS but these 964s are really the ones! What a channel this is though. Boxengasse. I love the dig into the stories behind these delights and their owners.
Gorgeous car. Loved this episode.
Great video - Thanks. What is the name of the company who made the front 924 glassfiber panel? Looks awesome.
Love these interviews and hearing how the myriad of choices in personalizing are made. Brilliant content!
Fantastic, in person this car is truly special 👌😎
Great color! I agree stock brakes work well imo😊
It's a beautiful 964 Turbo, but my true love is the 930 to me. it's just a little more raw.
That 997 GT2 has the most beautiful 911 body of them all.
Mr Raj🎉
Nice car. Have seen that car for sale at various times over the years. It’s in amazing condition now. Would remove the turbo badge above the glovebox but other than that it’s great. Can’t remember exactly what but previous owner had something in the ashtray.
Great to see Raj on here. He certainly doesn't accept second best and that reflects in both his businesses and his cars.
Film the drive … I would be really interested to hear your thoughts 💭
