    A clamp meter is a current meter with simple voltage function. A multimeter is a voltage meter with simple current function. The clamp meter you have chosen is designed for higher amperage applications. That’s why it measures to the 10th of a unit. I think a better tool for you might be an electrical tester rather than a clamp meter.

    Very interesting and good review, wider on the corners is to drive off the wall and thus enable more torque without damaging the nuts. On 15mm socket the factory will be manufacturing for that brand as well as Hilka and have accidently put into our set. The minimum order to put our branding on the sockets is crazy hence we leave blank. I am the MD so emailed the factory to ensure not repeated. All the best, Matt

    Hi, check the code, what is it precisely? P1747 P1746 do you have a good scanner to diagnose faults not all scanners are safe you need a good quality original one. the car has gone into safety mode and will not start you will discharge the battery the clutch may be completely out of order it could be the F1 sensor Run another diagnostic with a good computer and let me know the result.

    Im right there with you on the fuses. Trying to follow a single wire on a wiring diagram all the way to fuse with like 15 tabs open and then completely losing your train of thought in the middle of a tough diag is nauseating. I have lost hours checking the wrong fuses, relays, etc because the diagram is not clear or intuitive.

From my fuse diagram it also looks like the electric mirrors are on the same fuse.. so the fuse is also good. I will keep checking, time to break out the multimeter.

    Brilliant video thank you so much for posting. My daughter has a 2008 c-max diesel with the same symptoms. On close inspection I could see dry solder joints on maybe 50% of the connector pins. Out with the soldering iron to re-solder all of the pins and hey presto it’s now perfect. I just repaired both sides of mine its mainly caused by them using cheap wires with poor insulation you can buy a repair kit but you will have to drill out the rivets on the speakers (another great design) to get at the cables to join to, if you are goin to just repair the wires as I have (solder and heat shrink) you will need to get the rubber gromet out of the door to get at a small cable tie that holds the wires back this gromet is a bugger and is easier to push it into the door then get it out sideways

    VBATT drop to 10.5V is normal when cranking. 11.3V is not control module cut off point. Light switch to zero is not the least current draw, but park lights are on these.

  • @adamautomotive
    @adamautomotive2 ай бұрын

    Hi thanks for watching. I always like to see around 11v minimum when cranking. Anything less indicates power supply issues in my experience. Battery not 100 percent etc. Roughly 11.3 volts and under isn't enough to guarantee proper operation of a 12 volt module. I am guessing you haven't used KESS or KTAG before for example or BMW Ista. Before being able to read or write any data safely from an ECU or module the software demands a minimum or 11.7 volts I believe it is from memory. Maybe 11.3. You have to have an external power supply hooked up to prevent any modules not working correctly. Also, the customer had doubts about my diagnosis too as many people do that don't understand vehicle electronics. He took the car to Ford after me. They confirmed my diagnosis and customer left an awesome 5 star review explaining that also. Which was obviously good to know. Hope you found it interesting. Obviously manufacturers have different specs on specific electronics too. No one answer is correct for all vehicles.

    I have a Renault sandero 2018 model, the check engine light is on, milage is above 160000km, the timing chain was replaced, oil recently changed but the car has an idling problem, hard start, sometimes delayed acceleration, rumbling sound at the exhaust, at this point the OBD 2 scanner shows code p0011 and then when idling for too long the check engine light starts blinking and if I accelerate the abs and traction control light come on then it completely looses power, the obd 2 scanner says cylinder 1 is miss firing at this point.

With the car scanner on the phone, I find cylinder 2 misfire. I delete the error, but after a while it reappears. I mention that I put new spark plugs, but the defect still occurs. Please tell me how you repaired your Sandero. which part needs to be changed. Thanks in advance for your help.

    @@danielursachi1582 Hi I changed the camshaft sensor and I got better performance but the check engine light is still there, it only blinks when idling, when it blinks I don't accelerate then the ABS ESP lights don't come on. I'm planning on getting the Crankshaft sensor checked if it needs replacement, if that fails it's do the compression test on the cam phaser

    @@ProfSMS Thank you very much for the quick answer, I may change the timing chain tomorrow, I'm afraid that if it's too weak, the cam phaser or even the intake valves will fail. I will look to see where the camshaft sensor is to replace it as well. And I will also look for where the crankshaft sensor is. If the on-board lights come on again after changing the timing chain, I should also change these two sensors. Thank you very much for your help.

    @@ProfSMS Hello dear friend. I found what was the problem with my car. Because I drove on LPG for 4 years, the petrol in the tank got old. I put 5 or 10 liters of fresh gasoline every month, but the tank has 50 liters. I put LPG aftermarket when my sandero had 4000 km, it was still new. The old gasoline in the tank messed up the gasoline computer, and the gasoline computer messed up the LPG computer. So on LPG I had a fuel mixture that was too rich that the engine could not burn completely, it lit up the lights on my dashboard and cut off my accelerator pedal. In conclusion, if you have LPG in your sandero, throw away the old petrol from the tank and put a lot of fresh petrol. And you only go on gas for a few days or hundreds of kilometers. You will see that the car will miraculously recover, and you won't have to change anything about it. I removed 45 liters of old gasoline from the tank, it was red like diesel, it was no longer yellow/green. Please confirm if you have read this message, I would be very happy if I helped you. Just like you made me happy when you helped me. Thank you.

    hi Adam..ive a honda accord same engine.Im not a mechanic or auto sparky ive heard these have a 2 stage charging system on these that has confused many mechanics to replace batts or and alternators but to still leave customer with a fault. It has a eld elctro magnetic load detector sensor 3 wire connector i think which comes from the ecm The eld location is under under bonnet under main fuse box thats had issues causing very simular faults combined with the 2 stage charging.I was told this years ago Adam.If you found it was the alternator then well done..all the best for now..

    Hi William thanks for watching and the excellent comment and information. I do actually have a video on a battery drain on a Honda Accord also just so you know. I wasnt aware that it has a 2 stage charging system. However under load and with increased rpm the voltage was dropping continuously as shown in video. Many vehicles have battery management systems/2 stage charging nowadays so we always need to be aware of all the variables that come with that. All the best!

    The fault is prevalent indeed. The reason is primarily the poor quality of the wiring's insulation. You have to use silicon-insulated wires where movement is present. In time the PVC of the insulation becomes brittle from the elements and it cracks. The tight wrapping of the harness does the rest. It is a design fault from VAG.
