Ford Focus ST (2020) Immobiliser Fault Diagnosis
its an ST, not an RS like i wrongly say in the video multiple times, thankfully pointed out by a kind viewer.
its a 2.3 4 cylinder. Not 5 cylinder.

VBATT drop to 10.5V is normal when cranking. 11.3V is not control module cut off point. Light switch to zero is not the least current draw, but park lights are on these.

Hi thanks for watching. I always like to see around 11v minimum when cranking. Anything less indicates power supply issues in my experience. Battery not 100 percent etc. Roughly 11.3 volts and under isn't enough to guarantee proper operation of a 12 volt module. I am guessing you haven't used KESS or KTAG before for example or BMW Ista. Before being able to read or write any data safely from an ECU or module the software demands a minimum or 11.7 volts I believe it is from memory. Maybe 11.3. You have to have an external power supply hooked up to prevent any modules not working correctly. Also, the customer had doubts about my diagnosis too as many people do that don't understand vehicle electronics. He took the car to Ford after me. They confirmed my diagnosis and customer left an awesome 5 star review explaining that also. Which was obviously good to know. Hope you found it interesting. Obviously manufacturers have different specs on specific electronics too. No one answer is correct for all vehicles.

Thanks for watching and thanks for the detailed info. Not that up to date on these as you can tell! I'll know all about them soon as I've owned one!
