The old dolphin show pool is also the fountain under Spinning Dragons, and I think part of the retaining wall is what you walk on to get into one of the haunted houses.

This was so touching and well done I can't even make the joke that Tommy Tallarico was the one who made the Disney channel 4-note theme. Fantastic work. You're one of my favorite documentarians.

I would like to cordially request a DefunctTV about Doug. I know what Doug was, I watched Doug, but I never knew why Doug was. And I *must* know more about that Doug Live show!

Oh god the original Space Mountain ad got me so nostalgic. How many times have I seen that in the trailers on my old Disney VHS-tapes? Countless. I still know all the words (the swedish dub though). As a kid I was so excited for this ride and the only time I could go to Disneyland Paris in 1999-ish I was too short to ride it. And now it just wouldn't be the same. What I am most interested in about the Paris park though, is how they seem to celebrate anniversaries a year off. They were marketing the 30 year anniversary in 2023 despite that actually being 31 years after open. Why is that? And when and why did they make the name change? We still have mugs at home from my parents honeymoon at Euro Disney in 1992 that I won't let them get rid of bc they can't be replaced lol.

You know Walt might've been right about Cars. I mean they've been here for 100 years and we kinda just forced them in. has any city really been designed arround them? And mind you, Walt was born in like 1901 if im not mistaken, so hes more than old enough to remember that event. His idea of separating truckers and other drivers seemed like a good idea to as it solves one of the biggest concerns drivers have. Epcot likely wouldve failed if built but Walt for sure had some ideas worth using.

Putt Putt was made by Ron Gilbert's company for children games, while Cavedog was the -adult- teen version, a bummer that they only could do Total Annihilation, had high hopes for Good & Evil and (iirc) Amen, their fps.

Energylandia in Poland operated a fast-pass system similar to early Disney system where you essentially book your ride for a specific time, like a doctor's appointment. This survived until summer of 2023 which was record-breaking and queue times were reaching extremely high values. To the point where attraction-specific queue corridors weren't enough to hold all people. They turned that Fast-Pass off and replaced it with a new version - paid fast-pass. Buy that and you can enter speedrun queue for 5 attractions per day. This paid fast-pass by itself is more expensive than a daily admission ticket. I don't have any kids so I just used common sense when visiting that park. Avoid weekends, avoid summer high season, come in less than ideal weather conditions. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes in a queue to a roller-coaster. I'm not even a type that optimizes fun out of these park visits. I don't care whether i visited 7, 11 or 19 rides in a day, or spent lots of time at food vendors. But standing in queues for hours is something I hate and cannot imagine enduring. 2 hours in queue exposed to the sun? Fuck that lol.

Last time my family and I went to Disney World in 2017 it was before I was into theme parks so we didn’t really have any planning. We went to Epcot and Magic Kingdom and only rode one ride at Epcot and 2 at Magic Kingdom. I didn’t learn about fast pass until the end of our second (and last) day at Magic Kingdom! I still kick myself over it cause most of our time was spent waiting lol

Me being a three year old child when EuroDisney opened and never hearing about other Disney theme parks until I was about ten, I thought Walt Disney and Disney in general was French. Made sense with their European styled fairy tale movies and all that. I was shocked when I learned the truth with sixteen.
