This man did not deserve to have it judged so poorly just for a master chef logo, you can tell he had passion for the craft and for the show he was on, not only that but the pudding and the ENTIRE dish looked phenomenal! That’s something I would pay for at a nice restaurant for desert and would happily pay a good $30 for it, Gordon didn’t not have the right or judge it that harshly without tasting it

What is this comment section? When a 3 chefs tell you it tastes sweet, it probably tastes sweet, if you think they are trying to justify to kick him out the master chef, he didn't even get kicked out this round. Besides that, please understand that this is a proper competition, though also a television show, but the judges are being fair to each competitor, you can say he is standing up for himself, I say he is telling the judges how to judge.

If I were to relate, it would be that Ive Kept my childhood sweet tooth, being familiar with higher sugar content. So some things that others find sweet can be quite dull to me.

Point being, he's not delusional, just needs to reset his tolerance. Even raw cabbage becomes sweet in the right circumstances.

I'm actually with the guy who baked, in my opinion he wasn't rude and yea saying someone has a different palette doesn't mean it's bad everyone is different. Some people eat really sweet some dont it's not that they have a bad palette he still respected Ramseys palette

Do those guys not know that people have different sweetness tolerances? The same goes for spiciness as well. This man probably likes sweeter foods and is just defending his work. Props to him.

Personally I like when a cake has a hearty bit of frosting! Also remember these are High End chefs that are judging. They're used to selling the Minimum at a Maximum price!

He was actually a really nice guy and was just being reasonable. Maintained his integrity but still payed respect to the chefs. I hated this season because the way they treated the contestants, unless youre actively kissing their ass like a good dog they will hate you for it

For anyone wondering, (this was also why i left culinary school) YOU MUST do everything by the book. Down to the last GRAIN of salt used. You are penelized for going against standards. However, you are allowed to create your own dish, if certian aspects are cooked to the Kitchens standard/international rules. Sticking a Logo of a show on your food is a huge no-no, as it diverts the attention away from taste of the dish, and more toward the logo, and the business and/or meaning behind it. Plus it just makes you look like youre trying to hard or buttering up judges. Impress with food, not some weird design, that isnt even owned but the judges.
