He left half of it in the pan because it wasn't even cooked. He was going too fast. It's ok, everyone makes mistakes sometimes, but those aren't what Gordon's eggs are supposed to be.

Just made this today. I love it. Had it together with 2 pancakes, a toast, and a cup of coffee. The trick is to LIGHTLY butter your toast. The eggs are so buttery and delicious already so putting a lot of butter to toast the bread would make it oily

Hey dude so as someone who always thought the way you did and grew up cooking the way you likely do. I have to admit, I followed this recipe a couple years back and haven’t switched since. Basically because you take extra time, mix the butter and whisk like crazy you get this amazing texture whilst it’s still cooked and somehow it always tastes better truly. Give it a go I promise

I tried this method of scrambled egg and never went back to the regular scrambled eggs. They taste perfect.

I always remember watching this and the change from heat to no heat, is something I’ve used since & it’s works great! I think the crème fresh made them more creamy & the eggs they use are probably way better than I get at my store so I’m sure it’s okay to eat them not fully cooked. It’s just the type of scrambled eggs he made that’s something majority of ppl aren’t used to eating.

My boss said something that stuck with me, eggs are the one food you'll eat the rest of your life in the way your mom made them for you. He's right because I love cheese omelettes where the cheese runs out and gets crispy, I love my over easy eggs with a crispy bottom, that's how my mom made em for me and I'm a chef for 20 years

This is how they do scrambled eggs in France where Gordon learnt how to do them. It's actually quite nice, but very alien to us.

​@James Cooper I tried his recipe once, and now it's the only way I make scrambled eggs. I can't get Cream Fraiche at my local store, so a little dollop of mayonnaise does just fine. Delicious!

That's just RAW TALENT 😮

Ive seen him cook scrambled eggs in a different show and he did slightly differently. I must say that salting the eggs when they are starting to thicken is really good tip. And if you want fluffy eggs, just whisk them before you put them in a hot pan, where is a bubbling butter already. Then its a really quick process, but the eggs are truly fluffy.

I mean whatever covers your toast but personally i dont know if scrambled egg jam is my cup of tea. Just salt+pepper the egg in a bowl, mix real goodish with some milk, put it in a pan till the bottom starts to solidify. Rake it toward the center so the rest is exposed to the heat then repeat until you can flip it over, then do it. leave it for a little bit, not too long though since you've already cooked most of it, just not the top. salt and pepper after as needed. I may not have the title of master chef but by god its still good.
