As a chef myself, Gordon is a product of traditional French education. You will never get a pat on the back but if your not getting insulted your doing just fine. He's a dick from environment and maybe by choice. I never watch, but society takes pleasure in seeing people get torn down. because it evokes more emotion than caring and love which most never really feel. IMHO.

No. He talking too much like he trying to teach all those top chefs. Other people who taste your food are customers. You cook for customers, so you must accept their taste not comparing with your taste. That's what real chef is. Unless you cook for yourself, you can eat your own cook alone and talk as much as you want. ------------------------------------------------------ Edit: Well..as I expected many people disagree with Gordon, Joe and my comments. I knew it and understand, because not all people could become a good Chef, not all people have experiences in running any restaurants, and even not all people know how to cook. Only some. That's why it's impossible for those many people to understand, when Gordon and Joe gave the TASTE STANDARD from their high experiences with customers. And impossible for those many people to know that TASTE STANDARD is a BASIC thing you should understand BEFORE entering any chef competition. Measuring sweet is so basic that even kids in kindergarten cooking school know how to measure the sweetness. These kind of people will keep arguing: "What sweet considered more sweet " "What sour considered more sour" "What salty considered more salty" "What raw considered more raw" "What burnt considered more burnt" "What rotten considered more rotten" and so on... They will never fix their cook, keep arguing, and keep wasting their time with these dumb "questions", dumb "questions" that no any good chef would wasting time with... Hasta la Vista! 😉

Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.😊😊😊

There is some subjectivity in cuisine ofc, but this does not mean that there is no objectivity at all. If you cook pasta and you do not put enough salt in the water you cannot claim "I like it with less salt", as there is an expectation for a certain level of salt in pasta and sugar in cake. You can do a bit more or a bit less, and outside the accepted range it is just a mistake. To answer "everyone has a different palate" means that you do not know how cooking works.
@yyyyyk
Жыл бұрын
@@bobon123 I agree with you about the absolute nature of neglecting to put salt ^at all^, but once you put some salt in, the quantity of salt becomes a relative matter, subjective and dependent on personal preferences. With pasta water, I've never seen any recipe indicating how much salt to use, and while it is true that some quantities would be ridiculous (like a cup of salt), some people really do like their food with more salt. I bet chef Ramsey was being over dramatic for the sake of the cameras, and the fact that the guy tasted it and still thought it tasted good shows that it was within the reasonable range of personal preferences. (I'm sure some customers would happily buy that cake if they like very sweet cakes)

@yyyyyk
