Just finished, and yeah there were parts where I think I missed. So when I got to the end, I was confused on who the teddy was, and what it's backstory. Like I thought it would be like a skynet thing or something, and maybe it received all the data that was in the other A.Is through an online storage system? Like Ted was the cloud or something, and thus why it became resentful to humans. I enjoyed the anime though.

Im half way through watching, got to the part where you say the manga implies we shouldnt feel bad for persia because the villains are all from persia. I want to strongly disagree with you. what it is trying to show is how an unjust war, helped in growing hatred in these people and therefor turning them into these villains. so actually, the manga is trying to make us hate the people who called for this unjust war.

I had many of the same complaints abou the ending. After Friend's ressurection, nothing really made sense and just kinda petered out. I thought it would have been much better if Kenji was actually dead, and Kanna got to grow and change into someone who could undermine Friend's influence by bringing people together. It felt like the comic was about connections to other people and one's legacy by their actions, so it felt like Kanna's attachment to Kenji's memory could have blossomed into her connecting people with music, like the festival, and that being the climax. Was definitely disapponted that there was an extra-extra doomsday robot. Wished they would have spent that time on the characters, talking about how their lives will go one, and how the last many years imapcted them and the world around them. Still, like you, I loved the art and the world, and the cast of characters was amazing. It left a good impression by the end, but the mystery was not a good mystery. To me, it was annoying how everything centered around Kenji and his friends/ people who were excluded from his friend group. It felt so detached from any real conflict, especially the fact that two people from his childhood had the same megalomaniac aspirations that were born out of pettiness. How uninteresting, frankly. When it's one person, it can make some sense that he made it into somethign important, but two? Feels like he just wanted there to be another twist and made it happen, despite deflating any impact the riginal mystery had.

this is the second (and a half?) time i’ve gone through the id analysis, and i think i finally have to say i slightly disagree with the the first criticism about the opening passage. it feels to me like Urasawa is trying to convey our false conception of religious symbolism. our ideas of what makes a beast are often wrong and i think he tries to represent this throughout the series. mentioning this passage from the Bible to begin with sets the stage up for the images of misconception and projection. i 100% agree that criticism of this bit is justified, as we all interpret differently. the fact that supernatural imagery is never again used in the series is a valid critique. but i do feel like this can be seen as a representation of religion coinciding with logical society, whether it was intentional on Urasawa’s part or not

I feel like you have criminally underrated a lot of really, really useful stands. These in particular: The Hand, Spice Girl, Metallica, Stone Free, Burning Down The House, Weather Report, Jumping Jack Flash, Oh Lonesome Me, Tusk, Catch The Rainbow, Ball Breaker, and finally Soft and Wet The Hand, no need for trash day, garbage in your own life POOF! S tier. Spice Girl, no need for pillows! Lots of life saving properties from making heavy things soft to push them out of the way easier, falling from great heights becomes safer, lots of little day to day uses, comfort, etc, A tier. Metallica, SO MANY THINGS ARE MADE OF METAL! Welding, craftsmanship, electronics, so many things are made of metal! A tier. Stone Free, lots of special case uses that are life saving, but also daily uses. It is sharp, on the go cutlery! A tier. Burning Down The House is a weird one, because we don't fully know how good it is, it depends a lot on how our world works compared to the fictional JJBA universe, but I would personally put it in at least B for potential. Weather Report is triggered unconsciously, but because of his rage against humanity, meaning that if he had a more positive life experience, he could be able to produce positive effects, and or control the effects. S tier. Jumping Jack Flash, lifting heavy things! Flying! No getting hurt from falls! A tier. Oh Lonesome Me, while not good, is not D tier, it has a use, and its a good, safe, use. C tier. Tusk Act 3-4, teleporting... S tier. AND cutting is a somewhat useful skill putting the rest safely in B tier. Catch The Rainbow, Flight, again, only during rain though. Sightseeing and other observing activities would be improved. B tier Ball Breaker, you explained it yourself in the video, thought that it could be S tier, and that is where it belongs. S tier. Soft and Wet, it applies to physical things as well as humans, possibly other animals. Go Beyond also surpasses reality itself. S tier for both. But there are two that have been extremely overrated, being: C-MOON, and Hey Ya! C-MOON should be nukes! It affects gravity in a 3 mile radius! That would destroy the local environment, full stop. Sadly, Hey Ya! does not give luck to the user, it just encourages them (and can see a little into the future, but cannot be controlled), which is still great! But nowhere close to Heavens Door. B tier

Photography Dad should definitely be higher than D tier because it lets you, you know, *cheat death* (at least from natural causes). Probably not A tier because it's kinda convoluted to set up, but if you had someone willing to assist you, you could probably live in replicas of a bunch of your favorite places for as long as you wanted. This could maybe even be used for historical preservation in some way, like creating a replica of a location before it's demolished or otherwise changed by time.
