The little screws on the spring direct mounts are just horrible and strip real easy, makes them less then useless. Get the ones with the Allen heads.
the tiny spring fell out when i pulled out the lever before i found this video - can you please describe where it goes back in? i cant find it
more brass on the bigger case means more heat transfer. making the case overheat and melt
Sorry nope, if you checkout our follow-up video (kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKmowayAlNTeZMY.htmlsi=4MGzNDZ8FyK9pxAa) Bruce explains American brass is simply slightly softer than European brass. 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
how do you get the coefficient for a qys 8.48gr .177 struggling to find it
Hi Russ, what weaver mount area you using my rangefinder is not reading correctly laser beam seems to be pointing high can you advise please regards Keith
Hi Keith, are you saying the LRF splash is high on-screen at base mag, in NV mode? Is this with your reticle fairly central (X & Y) after zeroing? Cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 Hi Russ first time use in Day mode using rangefinder on measured targets for example 30 yards is reading 47 looks like laser is reading above target at longer ranges mate
@@keithcruickshank5984 You have to put the scope into NV mode to see exactly where the LRF splash is, relative to both your crosshairs and the LRFs daylight aiming marker. This obviously best done at your preferred range. Be aware there's currently no way (we know-of) to adjust the position of the LRFs daylight aiming + to fine-tune it to match the LRF splash position. Cheers. Russ
“airgun scope” I’ve got one on my .223 T3X.
That's awesome. 👏 Thanks for watching, and for sharing. 🤓 Cheers. Russ
Hey! Can you provide the pinout of the video out cable you made? Thanks!
Hi Russ. Now you've had the rifle for quite a while. How do you find it in VERY cold weather, with it being all alloy ?. This is one thing that really puts me off this style of rifle, as my fingers get cold enough in the winter. That's why I've always stuck with wooden stocks. Cheers buddy
It's fine, all the surfaces I handle (pistol grip and cheek-piece) were synthetic and are now wood laminate, bar the carbon fibre bottle which is ok anyway. You can always add a neoprene sleeve to the CF bottle too, if required Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
This is very similar to my Combro CB-625 Chronograph.
Aye I still have one of those colllecting dust somewhere (I accidentally shot my first one), but this is way better than that IMHO. 🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 Yeah the alignment on the Combro CB-625 can be awkward, though you can also get and alignment tool to help.
@@MrRockstar1968 Actually I remember having one of those too, will have to dig it out, but I'm happier with the NateChrony. Cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 I've seen quite a few Combros shot at the club and at Waulkmill Russ but the Nate looks much safer in that regard
@@54Howie Hi Bill, yep the 1/2" UNF attachment method is more reliable, plus the central hole is bigger diameter. Happy Shooting! Cheers. Russ
Russ , seems to be a few connections to the muzzle-end, but nice clear information on read out, 🍻 cheers .
That's a downside of muzzle mount - lots of different types of muzzles. 90% of what we sell is 1/2 UNF threaded, 9% the variable adapters for moderators, then 1% custom adapters. If we dont have an adapter for your rifle - reach out & we'll get it done.
Morning Neil, ah one of those two was unique to the Mito-S, a rifle like my Krait would just require the one, for 1/2" UNF. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Interesting, worth a look.. Didn't catch the price though..
I think they cost about £90, there's a link to his website in the description, then I think I clicked on UK retailers. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
UK - £90 from shooting supplies ltd, its "cheaper" from my store - but postage makes it the same. So buy local & support your local dealer :)
I really wish FORM or anyone, would make a nice stock for the FX Wildcat Mk3 ....
Have you asked them? I asked them at the show if they have any plans to make a stock to turn the HW75 into a carbine, they're looking into it. 🤞🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Hi Russ, unrelated to the above video, but what mount do you prefer for the Arken Zulus, the ZB Lite pro or the Eagle Vision and would they still fit my normal Hawke scopes, thank you Gary...
Hi Russ, Great video as always mate. I'm In Australia and just purchased this scope. Trying to send info from my Android phone to the scope and for some reason when the yellow aeroplane come up on the Arken Ballistic app and I try and send the ballistic table to it, it says "this device does not support the ballistic table" and I can't send it. Any idea why this is happening? Cheers
Thank-you. Hmm I checked with Billy )GPCBILL on the Airgun forum (airgunforums.co.uk/forums/anything-optics-scopes-mounts-nv-illumination.9/), and he recommends trying resetting the scope, but obviously make a note of all your zero values first. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Amazing contraptions!
Hahaha welcome to the world of Bruce's man cave. 🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
I've got the krait L lite it's the best gun I have shot beautiful little gun
Cool, yep I love mine too. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Hi which scope is better in your opinion the pard 008s lrf or the arken Zulus what are the differences
I've owned Pard 008, 008s and currently own two DS35s, but I personally rate the Zulus above either Pard008. You should try both yourself, to see which you prefer. Cheers. Russ
What range would you recommend for me to zero my .22 fac reximex ixia at 30ftlb
I zero my .22" FAC FX Impact M3 at 50m or 60m... @60m the secondary zero is about 14m (you can check that by inputting all your data to the Chairgun Pro App). Cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 cheers also how do you measure the scope height I’m finding it hard mate there’s no videos on it
@@Theking-qx4zd Measure the objective lens diameter and the shroud diameter, the distance between the underside of the lens and the top of the shroud. ½ dia + separation + ½ dia = your value, then do an overall check on that figure with a tape. Cheers. Russ
Hi Russ, got myself a 520r, liking it but....can't seem to get it connected to the app. Can you assist please? It's android (Moto) works fine with hikmicro app and connecting etc. I've tried uninstalling/ reinstalling app, I can connect to WiFi, says connected but can't provide internet just like with hikmicro but when on the app still says "connect to device"
Did you also activate 'location' on your device? Cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 I don't think so, will have to have another go later, is that what's needed? Thanks
@@stephenoshea1166 Yep you need to have 'location' activated on your smartphone/tablet that's running the App. Good luck, cheers. Russ
Still no luck even with location enabled. May have to email Arken or optics warehouse.
To anyone having problems, connecting, I got mine resolved by switching off mobile data on my phone, apparently it can interfere with the WiFi connection, thanks to optics warehouse for talking to Arken on my behalf to help get to the bottom of it. 👍
Reminds me of the 200 , more or less like for like , like the stocks colour .
And does the arken mount fit on the pard 008
What moa is the standard pard mount
Which Pard?
@@RussDouglas222 pard 008s lrf
@@Theking-qx4zd I believe it's 0MOA, and the Zulus scopes might fit the 008S mount, but I believe the screw lengths are different. Cheers. Russ
Where did you get all the info, not much of what you covered in the manual, as to ballistic program, and many other features it has. Great video and thanks so much. 👍👍👍👍
Hmm between what I already knew of ballistic calculators, and what I learned from cleverer folk like Bruce. 🤓 Happy to help -happy shooting! 🎯 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@douglasbattjes3991 I meant to add - check my links in the video description for more info, including to Bruce's nine-page user manual. Cheers. Russ
Do love reactive targets. Definitely a step up from tins and plastic solders 👍
Absolutely, these look like they could last a lifetime too. 🎯🤓👌
Looks better with the contrasting colour IMO. Still not completely sold upon the Meccano lok of these rifles 🤔 Regards Snowflake 2
Yep I like the ODG / black combo too. Ah I love the functionality, but you can also go for a more basic folding stock, or a solid walnut or coloured laminate. Something for everyone. 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
I’ve been waiting for the 3x12 for ages but Arken have let me down as there not offering it in standard scope as a sub 12 air gunner I don’t feel the need for LRF & ballistics calculator I think these are for powder burners not sub 12 . Very disappointed indeed
I'm guessing there's not enough pf a market for the non-LRF/BCL version. It's actually more sub-12 airgunners than powder-burner FAC users that will benefit from the LRF/BCL, due to the loopier trajectories at our relatively lower power levels. I've only recently got a sub-12 .22" PCP due to the LRF/BCL benefits of the Zulus, compensating for the trajectory. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
What's the overall length and the folded length?
I'll message Chris and ask... He replied "Katran NC should be same as the Katran C, 775mm unfolded, 530mm folded." Cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 Thanks.
Awesome stuff 😎🇦🇺
I must say your video indicates the importance of research to achieve the correct outcome, very informative and the enjoyable. 😎
Thank-you that's all down to Bruce's hard work. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
I have a pard 008s lrf with standard mount on my reximex ixia should I buy the arken and im wondering if i do buy the arken will the standard arken 0moa mount come back far enough on the ixia or will i haft to buy the Eagle vision im just having problems setting up my pard 008s lrf i need help what’s your whatshapp
I had to use the EVC 108MOA mount for this review... kzread.info/dash/bejne/pKh4qbWIkdupmc4.htmlsi=bhwGV95rBclpyMXx Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 cheers also my pard is shooting way to far to the left I have tried shimming it over on the standard mount and there’s no luck i have used the 2 shims for my y axis and that is good y:7 and x:-99 just any help why it’s so far left
@@Theking-qx4zd No idea I'm afraid 🤷🏻♂️, are you sure the mount's not snagged somehow? The 108MOA rail does have windage adjustment.

I'd rather not, this is designed from the ground up for FAC air. 🧐🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
They look extremely strong Russ , like all the designs .
They do indeed, very cool downrange accessories. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Beautiful stock
Went onto their stand they didn't have what I was after with them, but took time to check stock back at shop! Very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
Can this item can delivered in India??
I don't know, you could ask Edgar Brothers UK if they know who the India distributor is? www.edgarbrothers.com/brands/EBA/ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Need to get mine grouping well before I spend anymore money on it!
Very impressive rifles, Russ like the finger grip design 👌
One of the best rfd’s in uk 👍 and have the support of IMO the best air rifle tuners on the planet ! 💪🏼
Not even had my walnut drx yet
Most airgunners have more than one air rifle, so instead of having many you could buy this, but I myself have six because I prefer variety. But with that said the engineering on this rifle is outstanding and beautiful to look at.
Well said! And this is one of those dream rifles for many of us. 😍🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 no problem, great unbiased review.
AK style grip ,i do like them but dont like the bulge on the bottom of the receiver, but to late as ive bought a AGT Vixen
Big bucks compared to the Zulus and the Zulus has a range finder at 4th of the price
It Can’t be deliberate,,, in the Communist country of Canada who Cannot have any moderators, every PCP is loud. My .25 pcp sounds almost like a .22RF short out of my powder burner .22 rifle.
Like the adjustable cheek piece and the butt pad adjustment and the moderator, plus the colour 👌
Odd because the only time i went in there all they stocked was a bad attitude and a massive box of "couldn't be fucking bothered".
That is a cracking stock, i have the Chieftain fully adjustable stock on my R10 they are the best stocks availble
I remember Reading about this in 70's Norwegian gun magazine. Exellent! Going to try to make me a target for my back yard! Greetings from Norway, Alf!
Greetings Alf, that sounds like a great plan, let me know how you get on. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
The Katran NC looks sweet in the olive accents i like the adjustable stock but personally not keen on the arca rail, just looks a tad blocky looking for my liking.
Seen those stocks at NEC.. Beautiful..I'm saving up for one as a treat for myself.
Cool, so was that the same stock on the FORM stand, but inletted for a different rifle? Great treat. Cheers. Russ
Great vid. Those stocks are stunning. 👍
