    I played around on the mix station free version last night. Where's the send on faders? But I did figure it out how to assign channels to a bus which wasn't a simple task. Why not a simple button on every channel like on analog? Whatever I did on the m32 mix app, also shows on m8x station I have those channels assigned to the busses. It dawned on me. I should of been building the show straight off my m32 live desk, save, export to thumb drive then import it to the m32c. I'm still confused with routing in digital world, such as pre post eq, faders. And I've been configuring this show in the dark with no audio at the moment. I'm waiting on a shock proof rack that is supposed to be delivered today. ✌️ Where do you live? Are you in India?

    I actually figured out to go into settings on the iPad, save scenes, and that works. Seems like the lock setting is for locking things down when leaving the iPad or unit left unattended. I just watched your video on, peg, vs. get, vs. true eq. Great video. Now how the heck do you assign a group of drums, keys vocals to a subgroup off the iPad? I can assign from the desk, but this is the m32c. This is painful for the analog kid. 😢

  • @danielkharrat
    @danielkharrat2 күн бұрын

    You use the stereo effect on a stereo channel or bus (2 linked channels or busses) The dual is used as 2 mono effects on 2 different channels or busses So it's like having 2 independent effects but they are in the same slot instead of taking up 2 slots

    The dimming explanation was eh...still not clear. It seems the talkback doesn't have the preamp gain(ability) of the regular channel. So, does the dim, also reduce the level of those busses it's being sent to? Or is it only dimming in the headphone/mixing monitor ? Ultimately, if the talkback input doesn't have enough gain to be louder than the band playing, they won't hear you talk.

    Can I use AES of a Midas M32 to a Micro Clock MKIII? Currently I use the USB expansion card to my computer. I’m afraid if I switch it out with a ADAT expansion card for wordclock I won’t have a way to have the Midas connect back to the computer via usb.

    if the level is getting too loud and it's clipping inside the gate plugin instead of doing wet +5 and dry 0 you can keep the wet slider at 0db and the dry slider at -5db and it will have the same effect but the overall level will be 5db lower so you can compensate for these 5db with a clipper plugin after the gate (threshold -6, ceiling -1)

    Why would you not want to crowd mics on when the pastor is there?

  • @danielkharrat

    Because the people rarely ever say anything during the sermon and since the mics are in the room close to the people if someone sneezes or coughs or a baby cries... i find things like these to be very distracting If you're in a pentecostal church and the people interact a lot with the pastor during the sermon then you would leave the crowd mics on

    I noticed the m32c doesn't have aes ebu out. But the stagebox has it. Will I be able to use the aes ebu out from the digital stage since the m32c rack doesn't have it?

  • @danielkharrat
    @danielkharrat9 күн бұрын

    Yes It also doesn't have 1/4 inch aux ins and outs but you can use your stagebox i/o for auxes It's the same mixer If it something shows in the control app then it works You know on the full size m32 you have an xlr tab in the routing menu to assign the local xlr outputs on the back of the mixer to something else, but that tab is empty for the m32c because it doesn't have any local xlr outs So to answer your question, yes you can use the aes/ebu on the stagebox box and you can assign a signal to it from the aux out page

    It's total loop gain that we need to control to avoid feedback. That includes microphone transducer gain, pre-amp gain, fader and EQ gains, power amplifier gain, speaker transducer gain and acoustic path gain (loss) from speaker cone to microphone diaphragm. Reducing *any* of these gains will mitigate feedback, but there is no reason to have excessive gain in the path from the mixer to the speaker voice coils, so I take your point and I like your method.

    Connect foh mixer from port A to AES50 A on the stage box and then connect AES50 B of the stagebox to the livestream mixer port A and go to setup on the livestream console and set the clock source to aes50 A Then you can go to your inputs page and assign 1-32 to AES50 A 1-32 on both mixers

  • @danielkharrat

    Turning the speakers down with the knob is a lot less accurate at lower volumes You could turn your main fader down if you don't have a matrix but i would prefer to leave the main fader as the volume of the mix and have a different fader as the volume of the speakers
