    Thanks for the heads up on the shaving soap. I switched from the Futur to Henson which suits my sensitive and curvy face much better. No cuts, but still get a little razor burn. Tried Edwin Jagger look-alikes, and got cut with them, maybe because the blade does not align. Only the Futur gave me close shaves with feather blades, but better be careful or you welcome Dracula 😂. So i Will Buy and try the 34D, Thanks 😊

    Got this soap for the sole reason that I also have a mullet - thought it would be funny. Turns out it's now one of my favourite go to soaps. Definitely recommend.

    This soap is amazing and the video is very informative. I like the way the speaker showed how to lather the MDC. I have compared it to a lot of soaps in my collection and the MDC came way on top. I started off with with the small size and now am going with the big glass jar.

    The Yates 921-M is tied for my favorite razor, it's so smooth and efficient. I did swap out the 4" handle for the 3.5" Merica handle and it's now the perfect razor for me! Love this razor! Thanks for the review, I had the volume up but a bit hard to hear just FYI.

    Can you even get stuff from west coast shaving anymore? I placed an order on January 8 (apr 25 today) and it never arrived, they did send me a replacement one but it is still "in transit" and it got stuck exactly where the previous one was. It honestly feels super sketchy wtf

    Wow tons of work to get a lather. Who has that kind of time?

  • @bluebirdsigma
    @bluebirdsigma2 ай бұрын

    I dunno, I use a hard soap and I get a good lather in a couple of minutes. I load the brush for enough time to get some foam (say, 15 to 30 seconds) and then I finish whipping it up in my face. No more than 2 minutes. Then again my water is very soft.

  • @bitutube
    @bitutube2 ай бұрын

    Wow - this is not a good demonstration. There is no need to get so messy guys. Just get your brush wet, add a dime size bit of shave crème. Swirl a minute or two till your lather whips nicely. Hands stay clean and dry. Then apply to face - again no need to get hands messy. Your video almost seems like a farce.

    I really hope you didn't see the Libery Razor ad that talks about "striking back" against women's rights and then immediately go out and buy it. There a million different razors that you could be promoting. This company should be boycotted.

    I.m new to this soap. Vetyver was my choice. I use a double-edged Karve Christopher Bradley safety razor with a C-plate and Nacet or Parker blade. Complaints about the price of Martin De Chandre are absurd given how long a jar will last. In regular rotation with three other soaps that theoretically cost half as much, I still will have barely dented my MDC as my other favorites run out and are re-ordered from Antica Barberia and Saponificio Veresino The Martin De Chandre is an excellent formulation for scent and performance. I think the absence of post-shave soap feel or slickness is a virtue. It does its job and is gone, laving my skin feeling soft.

    Not only was this hard to watch but when you load the blade, just insert the tip of the injector into the blade head. No need to touch the blade when loading it.

    The comments left by those who bought it at West Coast Shaving said they liked it (4 out of 5 stars), but : "citrus notes are soon overwhelmed by the just this side of cloyingly sweet florals." So probably not a scent I would go for. But their other offerings might be good. Beef Tallow is the second ingredient, so I like that.

    I bowl lather exclusively. I never let a wet brush touch the soap in its original tub. I have a Pereira Shaving Bowl and absolutely love it. The WCS bowl is a direct copy of the Pereira. I used to have a Supply Marble Lathering Bowl and dropped it and it shattered so that's why I bought a unbreakable bowl.

    I really like this soap. I recently bought a hexagonal shaped Muhle bowl and it is a perfect fit. I use a little more water than you did here and work up a wetter lather on my face. I used it this morning with my Edwin Jagger 3one6 and got terrific results. I’ve been wet shaving for 60 years and haven’t found anything better. BTW. I use a lot less soap than you just did , and get a whole lot more lather than you did.

    That is a ridiculous amount of soap you are recommending using. I have used many soaps and I use 1/16 tsp soap to 1/2 Tbsp of distilled water. It makes plenty of lather to do a 3-pass shave with tons left over. Quit wasting soap people.

    I am confused, according to some blade gap comparison charts.. the most mild setting on this razor is more aggressive than a Gillette Slim on 9.. that sounds insanely aggressive.. is this the case or am I misreading the charts?
