Hello everybody and welcome back to another review from WCS. Today we take a look at an oldy, but goodie “Taylor of Old Bond St Sandalwood”. This trifecta set comes with a pre-shave oil, shave cream, and aftershave lotion. This lineup is an absolute staple within the wet shaving community whether you're a newcomer or a veteran. The scent is a fresh and clean take on sandalwood with some talc notes that come in with the splash. The pre-shave oil gives you an extra layer of protection while softening your stubble and promotes better glide. The shave cream lathers very easily and gives you more than enough for multiple passes. While the post of the cream leaves much to be desired, the aftershave picks up the slack and invigorates your face. This set is an absolute staple in anyone's grooming routine and would definitely recommend it to anyone. As always thank you WCS for having me here, but a bigger thank you to the viewers. Just ordered this, can't wait.
Nice shave - you really move well with that strait. I would suggest half the cream and double the water though, might not feel as drying and will actually be a bit slicker.

I tend to cut back on water just because it's cream, however more water equals slickness so I can get behind that.
Just got into shaving with a straight razor, haven’t knocked myself yet. I picked up this shave cream on Amazon and absolutely love it. I use a Naked Armor straight razor. Any recommendations for different razors? This one seems to strop pretty easily.
I'm ordering some of that cream for sure have always wanted to try, I shave with a safety razor though, don't trust myself with a straight razor:) Great shave though man, later...
Your use and discussion of the preshave oil is notable. I have not tried any formulated preshave oil but I have tried olive oil, and coconut oil. Not much noticible difference, other than maybe a slightly softer feel on the skin when the shave was finished. Oil did not seem to add any better lubrication.

I have yet to try those, but for tobs the oil added a bit of slickness not a whole lot though.
Can you compare contrast with geo f trumper sandalwood? Its weird to me they use the same packaging

For me the GFT smells much more woody with a bit of sweetness. As per packaging just my guess is since they're 2 of the longest grooming producers. That there tubs is what was available back then and probably just stuck with it, but as I said just a guess lol.

I have tried both and have a strong suspicion that both are made my the same supplier. Very different fragrance packages and possibly some difference to the additives but the same cream base. Both work great - I do prefer the TOBS scent as it’s more intense but also less of a pure sandalwood.
