  Can you imagine having so much wealth that you can own ANY car, no matter how valuable and rare? To his credit, Mr Lauren was a visionary as a collector as well as a clothing designer. He bought many/most of these cars when they were relatively cheap, which is to say "only" several hundred thousand dollars each. I remember when he bought a Ferrari 250GTO for $750,000. Everyone among the cognoscenti was saying he overpaid. Then about a month later, he bought another one for about the same price. I don't know whether he still owns both, but value of a 250GTO is well in excess of $40M. Likewise, he has two McLaren F1s, both bought new at original price, now worth >$20M each.

  Would be cool if each of those beautiful models not only posed on the catwalk amongst the cars but introduced their favourite car in that collection with at least summary knowledge about the car and its development even if they looked it up just hours before the fashion show. I’m sure there are more than a handful of intelligent and talented models like Jodie Kidd who are nuts about beautiful cars, love driving and great at communicating their passion.
