Sanjaya Cookery

Hello! I run a restaurant and also sell custom-blended, top quality spices delivered straight to your door (if you live in the US). All products ships from our sole location in Minnesota.

Our Promise to You:

~We use only natural ingredients.
~We never use any fillers in our product (you will see this in many grocery-store spice blends).
~When recipes call for a real citrus flavor, we use real lemon and lime extracts (if you read the label of other brands, you will see industrially produced citric acid).
~We do not use any anti-caking agents as part of our ingredients.

Thanks for visiting!

    Thank you so much! My wife loves cantaloupe and I always dreaded cutting them until now. Your method made VERY fast work of what used to take a whole lot longer.

    In West Africa they have small shops that offer small baguette and they will add a tin of Sardines all wrapped in newspaper so you can eat it on the go. Far healthier than hotel breakfasts.

    Nice idea! But I'd only make it if it works out cheaper than buying a bottle of Baileys. Since we need to use a good brand of whisky (plus the other side ingredients), i don't think it would work out much cheaper. So I'll just do what I normally do, and stock up on 2-3 bottles of Baileys when they discount it to half price during the upcoming months to Xmas.

    Hey Sanjaya loved how to explained and presented everything. My brother has never had Irish cream (to my surprise) and I was planning to make some using your recipe for our birthday (We both were born same day same month 3 years apart). I am not so educated in whiskey so will Jameson triple distilled or Jack daniels no.7 work?

    In all my (apparently sheltered) 70 years I had no idea there were 'recipes' with sardines. In my very early years my dad always ate sardines from the can with really cold beer and I tried it too with him. It was kinda tradition when I visited him and I thought that was the only way! haha. Today I looked in the cupboard and found some cans of sardines and decided to see if anyone cooked with them! and Voila! Here you are, and thank you so much! New sub.

    The problem with this is that the onions and bell peppers should be cooked first and separately from the fish. The way he does it will dry out the fish unnecessarily. The fish needs zero cooking because it’s already cooked. He mentions this alternative at 4:20, but this “alternative “ is the best way to do it. And told me you like dried out sardines. Overcooking sardines is a waste.

    It does look delicious though. I think I’ll try the stovetop method, to cook the veg first and probably add some cauliflower rice, then add the eggs and put a lid on frying pan for a few minutes.

    Vacation rentals: For years I have carried a small set with me when I stay at a vacation rental, park cabin, etc. I also purchased this and found it terrific. I think it will help me pare down my travel knife kit a lot. Excellent review. Mine is 440A which isn't exactly superior grade steel, but it's effective, it sharpens up nicely and it works. And it has a long track record.

    100% agree with you! Not the greatest metal, but I'm not exactly making fine dining dinners with it. And it serves as great "knife insurance" for a vacation rental or cabin, as you never know what you'll get with those! Cheers and thanks for watching :)

    Probably be tasty with Fireball, Since it has to be on a sweeter side, one would wonder if it could be made with Meade or Butterscotch Schnapps,if you were to use Cocoa powder... make sure to use real Vanilla, it'll give a bit of a alcohol kick of its own, When coffee came in, my thoughts went to Highlander Grog, it's a tasty coffee on it's own☕️🐿

    Don't know much about alcohol. What do you think about using brown rum instead of whisky? If suitable, what specific characteristics should I look for in the brown rum? Thanks

  • @SanjayaCookery
    @SanjayaCookery5 ай бұрын

    A brown rum will add some warming spice character to the final mix. It could actually work well.., just a slightly spiced version of Baileys! If you want more spice than the average brown rum, I recommend Gosling Black Seal! Cheers :)

    Baileys do not use whiskey anymore, not since diagio took over the brand

  • @SanjayaCookery
    @SanjayaCookery5 ай бұрын

    Hello Paul, you bring up an important point. The official Baileys website claims this: "The perfect marriage of fresh, premium Irish dairy cream, the finest spirits, aged Irish whiskey and a unique chocolate blend". So they say unnamed "spirits" *Irish whiskey*. So I'm guessing the unnamed spirit is vodka (cheapest to produce) mixed with some whiskey.... the percentages of which only they know. Thanks for watching! Cheers :)
