My tee-totalling, very religious grandmother who NEVER touched alcohol insisted that Bailey's was a form of chocolate milk and refused to believe anybody who claimed there was alcohol in it. Didn't matter what it said on the label, either. My grandmother got very amusing after a few small glasses of chocolate milk... So... I guess my grandmother was sort of ALMOST right? I very much agree. I know a bottle of Bailey's can keep for absolute ages, but since I rarely drink it I don't want to waste cupboard space on it in a small kitchen. But I do keep whisky on hand for both drinks and sauces etc., so good to have the option to just make enough Bailey's for a special occasion.

Nice idea! But I'd only make it if it works out cheaper than buying a bottle of Baileys. Since we need to use a good brand of whisky (plus the other side ingredients), i don't think it would work out much cheaper. So I'll just do what I normally do, and stock up on 2-3 bottles of Baileys when they discount it to half price during the upcoming months to Xmas.

We've been making Irish Cream for years. Here is our recipe. We have tried to make it more healthy so use half & half instead of heavy cream. We also add a little Caramel syrup and Almond flavoring...because we like it. Now, if you want the best French Toast in the world.... instead of just milk when making FT....Replace it with this Irish Cream. along with your eggs and add a little cinnamon. Soak your bread in it and place in pan or griddle. You'll love it. My wife won't eat French Toast any other way now. Irish Cream 2 C Half & Half (can also use fat free) 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk (can also use fat free) 1 2/3 C Whiskey (Canadian LTD is good and very cheap) 1 tsp. Instant Coffee Granules 1 Tbsp. Caramel syrup (ice-cream topping) 1 Tbsp. Chocolate syrup (ice-cream topping) 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract 1 tsp. Almond flavoring I just pour it all into a good sealing pitcher or an old ½ gallon milk jug and shake the hell out of the stuff. Also shake very well before each pouring. A dark bottle is important if you want to store it longer. Keep refrigerated. Can try to keep it in refrigerator up to 2 months, but I’ll bet it is gone WAY before that!!! NOTE: For the best French Toast in the world, substitute Irish Cream for the milk in the recipe and add a little more Vanilla or Almond extract and some cinnamon. It’s great.

In addition, if the melted chocolate is too thick, you may want to increase the cream slightly in the recipe. Thanks! Cheers :)

I just tried to make one small batch (50cl) by myself and it was sooo easy. The best part that helped me a lot is that you to blend everything before you put the cram inside. I recommend make small batch first and you can adjust the flavour to your taste. Dont worry what ever you do it will still taste delicious! Thanks again for a great video!

I have tried with almond but i didnot get any better result. Maybe my almond extract was not that of a good quality. When you add vanilla and almond. DONT add too much. Too much and you destroy your batch, made that mistake once. So add little bit and taste and add more drops if needed.@@meenagreen8163

@@msimpson2779 Just add everything to the blender. I add the whole egg. The recipe below is one of a few that I have played with. You'll like this one. pasteurized 1 pint heavy whipping cream 14oz sweetened condensed milk 1 2/3 cup Irish whiskey (I used Jameson's) or you can use any other whiskey that you like 1 teaspoon instant coffee 1 tablespoon Hershey’s chocolate syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Combine all ingredients in a blender and set on high speed for 30 seconds. Bottle in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. Shake before using. Will keep for up to 2 months
