Hi, I'm Luke and I love exploring Canada's backyard. Chasing adventure, documenting abandoned places, climbing mountains, and soaking in hot springs is just a little of the videos you'll see here. I'm constantly working on several video projects, and upload as often as I can. I hope you enjoy and get outside!

Crazy route! You guys made it hard for yourselves.
It makes me feel like there is a glitch in the matrix - that drumming sounds like me trying to start the mower. Those sneaky lawn mowers aren’t to be trusted
I had the privilege of staying at Coco Palms back in the 70s it was beautiful. So sad to see it like this.
Beautiful video Luke and Nina.!:)
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and putting together such a nice composition This channel is sooo underrated
Thanks, I appreciate that!
What a great dog!
She is the best!
Another one for the ol bucket list! Well done! Bryan from Gambier
Thanks Bryan!
Later in the summer you can just walk through most of it, when the water’s low! Fun to explore! Great video!
Yeah that would definitely make it more accessible to get into the cave, the water was rushing pretty good when we visited.
Yes big yes on the drone footage!! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
@@lifeofluke Anytime!
I visited this spot couple months ago, it was amazing! Wished the water was warmer for swimming
Yeah it is not warm water, that's for sure
Beauty!
That was beautiful scenery.
Super nice!
👍👍
What month did you go? My friend and I are going early August not sure how much snow to expect
This was in June
Killer man! Been watching you for a few years now from the interior, Shuswap area! Keep it up bro!
What a beauty river run. 👏Thanks for sharing. 🇨🇦🤙
Beautiful spot. What kind of floaty is that?
packraft you mean ?
It's a packraft, this one is made by Alpackaraft.
When are they going to fix the bridge
I don't know. Apparently another bridge washed out last year too
So awesome to see that! I've lived on the Island a long time, I need to start exploring more of it😁
There's so many hidden gems, you never know what's around the corner!
i love living in BC.there is more than you will ever see in your entire life
Stunning. Proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. Is the river source mostly snow-melt? Springs? Thanks, Nina and Luke.
Wow, absolutely stunning place.
Yeah, it's a wonderful spot.
Great video. Thanks for the float. Drone footage is fantastic. Seems like its a must have for such quality videos.
Thanks! Yeah the drone here really helps capture the perspective from above to see the potholes and river formation in a way that you can't from the riverbank.
There is a chase it crashed in slightly higher location if crashed in the snow ice which is more likely and slid down over the years!
Nice update! Are you interested in reviewing our 6-in-1 drinking water tester? It can test bacteria, virus, microplastic, heavy metal, and weed kiiler., etc! We're sure that you'll love it.
Cool!…what brand of raft are you guys using?
I'm using an Alpackaraft and my brother is using a Stikine.
Very cool!
So cool, Luke. In from 1981 to late 1982 I worked in that area as forest engineer. at the time the caves were not in a park but the provincial + federal govt at the time were exploring major cave systems on the north island as part of the Quatsino Karst limestone formation. As I guided them from Huson to the Tsulton river near beaver cove (part of the same limestone formation) we found an animal tusk embedded in some limestone rock that had been dislodged by timber falling in preparation for road building. Afterwards I was told the govt geologists discovered some major cave systems in the area. The north island is remarkable and is truly the road less traveled
That's very cool, yeah I'd like to see more of the caves that exist on Vancouver island, as some are very infrequently visited I'm sure, there must be some incredible things to see. And the Island has the right rock and conditions for these caves to exist.
Really well done Luke..looking forward watching all you work .
Thanks Peter!
Cool ! 💦👏
Thanks!
How many hours did it take you to reach the hot springs?
I can't remember exactly, but let's say ballpark 3-4 hours.
Awesome video!
Wow! You sure do find some hidden gems. Nice work.
I spend quite a bit of time researching all over to find these spots!
So badass! Thanks for sharing 🤘🏻💪🏻🤘🏻
Thanks!
What an adventure 👍👍
It was a fun one!
It's so beautiful there. I wish I was brave enough to try it! 😊
Pretty awesome😁 I was definitely thinking of it as a tube ride! I've seen this cave shown on another channel, but they did not paddle through it. We just saw the one side. Nice job, Luke😀 That looked fun! Was the path back over to the other side easy enough?
Thanks, yeah the trail back is not easy, it's a steep, rooty climb up from the river level through brush to reach the boardwalk/platform. We both did that return walk several times over.
@@lifeofluke I'm going to have to check that place out sometime. Maybe bring an inner tube or something like that😀
Nice! Water level was nice n high when you went through. Doubt it would have been possible last September when I was up there. Pretty darn cool tho 👍🏻
Yeah that is exactly why I went here in spring, because I knew that by summer the water levels are likely too low to paddle. So now was the time!
went there a few times in the 1980ies ..explored several other caves on the slope above the river including a sketchy thru cave thats long and very tight and has a submerged section certain times of year , its easy to get trapped in the submerged section even when its dry as rocks can snag on you gear and belt
Yeah, part of me wanted to explore the small caves as well, not just the river one, but I have to say those tight squeeze passages do make me feel claustrophobic... I prefer the large cave openings and rooms.
Beautiful!
Thanks Keith!
My neck of the woods! Yet to get there but this year is the year.....I have never heard of anyone paddling through.
Oh cool! Yeah I hope you check it out!
Add a few hippos and you have yourself a Dysney ride
haha, pretty much the log flume ride at any theme park
went up there last fall and was thinking if anybody was crazy enough to go through it haha
I Haha, I am, I love this sort of thing
