  When driving horses by lounging in the round pen I have found it helps to stay behind the driving point of the hip. Cross the hip while lounging, and the horse or mule being lounged gets confused and stops because the hip had been crossed in front of. Stay behind the hip when lounging works best. Great job with training since you say novice trainer.

  I just discovered your channel, and your video footage is GREAT. I don't know if any of your other followers feel this way, but I'd rather hear the sounds of the forest, your movements, and the bear's rather than music (which I like in other settings). Just a thought . . . Here in Maine, the biologists all say that there are PLENTY of black bears, but nobody-absolutely nobody-hunts them the way you do. The name of the game here is bait, but sitting for hours over a pile of stale doughnuts and fryolator grease just doesn't interest me at all. Keep up the great work, Chris

  I was raised around horses. Then inherited 2 bonded mules. First time interacting with them the jack tested me. I stood my ground. The jack and I became friends very fast the Jenny followed suit. I love my mules and would not trade them for 6 brand new vehicles.

  I lost a big bear this season hit him high and knew it was too high as soon as the arrow hit him. Put 5 miles in the gps the next day with a dog and never found him
