Why and Who were waiting until the break? Jamaicans and Puerto Ricans? Herc was just doing their Black Spades ♠️ dance 😂😂😂😂

Later, people thought it should be everyone on the street, so a bunch of fools started yapping on top of the good music, to try to get people to care about them, also. Then, mostly the music was gone, and it was just the people who want people to care about them yapping. Since rap is hoping to make it everyone on the street, it's obviously only ever going to fail, since most people on the street are just a bunch of criminals and perverts. 🔥👎🔫💀

Wait a minute... Ok, so Herc is the father of hip hop and the guy should have been at least a billionaire because he was the author of a trillion dollar idea. That much is settled! Now, let's be clear: what Herc did also changed djing forever! Bottom line? I surrender. Keep adding billions and trillions to the value of his revolutionary ideas that influenced the WHOLE MUSIC INDUSTRY and will keep having an impact for god knows how many more years to come. His ideas are just priceless, you can't put a price tag on them. Major, major respect to Herc. 💯💯💯❤❤❤

Truly inspiring and interesting documentary! Currently a brass musician and a musicology student, trying to understand how music (mostly brass) was in the Ancient Times. Such a European thing (and music thing) to not being uncomfortable with the absence of subtitles (surprised at myself for not being lost when understanding Spanish, English, French and Italian explanations)

I see black Americans slamming Fat Joe saying "they" invented hip hop and Latinos were invited to the party. As a Jamaican I'm going to push back on you slightly and say that we did invent Hip Hop & Rap... Had Herc not done what he did there would be no precedent for the progression of the genre. Also he is the first to scratch, he just never claimed it.

Eric b of Eric B & rakim said he did not invent hip Hop. A whole bunch of people have something to do with that music. He wasn't the only dj, Jamaicans didn't invent rap music at all I don't know what you guys are talking about. He created the loop. Yeah and he may have had some good records happening styles. And the big speakers. But he had nothing to do with hip hop in general hip hop is not a Jamaicans musical style identity. You can listen to it and tell it has nothing to do with Jamaicans.. You guys come over here and you adopt our culture. You integrate within it, and that's pretty much what it was, Puerto Ricans integrated in it Jamaicans integrated in it but they did not create it. That's a slapping in the face to so many people who were part of hip Hop creation and DJing break dancing and rapping from the early days. It didn't come from one man. It is true DJ Kool herc did through the best parties. But he did not invent hip hop knock it off. And stop saying you black american. It's our music shut up!
