Why and Who were waiting until the break? Jamaicans and Puerto Ricans? Herc was just doing their Black Spades ♠️ dance 😂😂😂😂
Later, people thought it should be everyone on the street, so a bunch of fools started yapping on top of the good music, to try to get people to care about them, also. Then, mostly the music was gone, and it was just the people who want people to care about them yapping. Since rap is hoping to make it everyone on the street, it's obviously only ever going to fail, since most people on the street are just a bunch of criminals and perverts. 🔥👎🔫💀
i went from mixing this track in vinyls to plays percs because of this fucking break thanks for great breaks and trick to herc q bert d styles dj rectangle shortcuts and all the awesome breakbeat djs for these awesome soul funk to breakbeat electro and hip hop great years
That was fun! EMOM calling... EMOM calling.... get yourselves to the next one in Sheffield (it's not an option, it's a MUST!)
Reminds me of early pink floyd
🔥❤️
Nice work mate but 0.75 * speed sounds better
I'll perhaps do a slightly slower version.
What is this from??? I want to see more
Any idea what sobg is playing in the vid?
Is there more to it than just speculation? Signs of stalagtites being played? Are paintings / engravings concentrated at places that have special effects (echos etc?)
This full of shyt TETHER‼️‼️‼️💯💯💯
That James Brown breakdown is my favorite too! "In the jungle baby.. In the jungle baby" ❤❤
Mad respect to this guy. He needs more recognition. Love his energy.
What is the name of this track? Starts at 1:16 . If anybody knows it please help me! :)
Wait a minute... Ok, so Herc is the father of hip hop and the guy should have been at least a billionaire because he was the author of a trillion dollar idea. That much is settled! Now, let's be clear: what Herc did also changed djing forever! Bottom line? I surrender. Keep adding billions and trillions to the value of his revolutionary ideas that influenced the WHOLE MUSIC INDUSTRY and will keep having an impact for god knows how many more years to come. His ideas are just priceless, you can't put a price tag on them. Major, major respect to Herc. 💯💯💯❤❤❤
There wouldnt be hip hop without Herc
I’m sorry but this ain’t no hip hop. Hip hop has lyrics
lmao are you stupid? this was Hip Hop in its infancy......
Hip-Hop comes from Jamaica 🇯🇲
I love how everyone tries to jump on this with the instant "ThErE wOuLd NeVeR hAvE bEeN "..." without "..." As if literally NO ONE would image it'd be a good idea to mix songs together for continuity in the coming 50 years, I mean come on
Happy 50th birthday bro
Tres intéressant ! Merci
Truly inspiring and interesting documentary! Currently a brass musician and a musicology student, trying to understand how music (mostly brass) was in the Ancient Times. Such a European thing (and music thing) to not being uncomfortable with the absence of subtitles (surprised at myself for not being lost when understanding Spanish, English, French and Italian explanations)

Thanks, wish it was longer!
Shoes
In Romania we have "tulnics" an ancient music instrument like the giant trompet. The isntrument whas use by the mountain folks who whas shepards.
If I could go back in time... I would stop him.
Came for the musical history, but, I'll have to stay a little longer, looking forward to a deeper dive! Sub'd.
Copying off FBA 🇺🇸 music
Olha que magnífico son na caverna
What?
Standard Darwinist storytelling but interesting nonetheless.
Perfection! Tried at home and was great!
This legend breathed life into the kind of music I listen to every day. Amazing
Very entrusting documentary about how simple the first instrument are all the way of beginning of time. At least now I figured out that the mammoth went instinct becoming musical flute..
love!
gaspar noe
This is comedy gold! Thanks for the laugh today.
Hey Eminem, hey Tyler The Creator we found your father
The history of the dominants.
Do your research because DJ Kool Herc is ONLY the founder father of Copycat!
This video is too loud.
Looping a break only made things more fun for break dancers. This was not hip hop. How he created hip hop with no emcee?
Coke La Rock was literally his MC.....
The FBA are saying herc stole tge merry go round from them
I see black Americans slamming Fat Joe saying "they" invented hip hop and Latinos were invited to the party. As a Jamaican I'm going to push back on you slightly and say that we did invent Hip Hop & Rap... Had Herc not done what he did there would be no precedent for the progression of the genre. Also he is the first to scratch, he just never claimed it.
No doubt....Herc was definitely a pioneer of Hip-hop. 🔥🔥
Hip hop have elements and which of those elements did Jamaicas create
@@miguelcorleone6633 umm sir it would because every single element of hip hop was here in America before he came all the did was extend the beat he did not create hip hop and if you look back at his interviews he will tell you
Eric b of Eric B & rakim said he did not invent hip Hop. A whole bunch of people have something to do with that music. He wasn't the only dj, Jamaicans didn't invent rap music at all I don't know what you guys are talking about. He created the loop. Yeah and he may have had some good records happening styles. And the big speakers. But he had nothing to do with hip hop in general hip hop is not a Jamaicans musical style identity. You can listen to it and tell it has nothing to do with Jamaicans.. You guys come over here and you adopt our culture. You integrate within it, and that's pretty much what it was, Puerto Ricans integrated in it Jamaicans integrated in it but they did not create it. That's a slapping in the face to so many people who were part of hip Hop creation and DJing break dancing and rapping from the early days. It didn't come from one man. It is true DJ Kool herc did through the best parties. But he did not invent hip hop knock it off. And stop saying you black american. It's our music shut up!
Yes jamaican invented Hip Hop and that's the end of it 🇹🇿

Wow, that slide ine mix is out of this world, Amazing
yeah
Lets give this man his dues now he is still with us.
He finally received his flowers. Was hoping he got some money too.
The broken stalactites were possibly due to prehistoric usage as music instruments.
