VR Reconstruction of El Castillo Cave in Northern Spain, featuring Recordings made in the cave

Музыка

This is a screen capture of Professor Rupert Till's Soundgate App, that allows you to see and hear what it was like to be in ancient archaeological sites. This one features the El Castillo Cave in Northern Spain, part of a world heritage site. You can see a panel, with orange bison, red hand stencils and red dots. The Red dots are the oldest dated cave paintings, and are over 40,000 years old. You can hear a recording of a bull roarer, or rhombus as it is known in some of Europe. These are found all over the world, including a number of prehistoric examples.
