Hello!
My name is Marie.
I'm a Juilliard-trained violinist and mom of two rambunctious sons.
I arrange well-known tunes into violin music in acoustic/classical music style in hopes of spreading the joy of music making.
My musical inspiration comes from Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and King David. Mozart composed for long and short ears (catchy tunes with deep, deep harmonies), Beethoven knew how to touch the human heart, Bach had such a strong purpose ("the glory of God and refreshment of the soul"), and one can only imagine what King David's music sounded like when he drove out the evil spirit from King Saul and relieved him from depression.
Soli deo gloria.

This is the most helpful video for setting up I’ve ever seen. I’ve been checking with my fingers to see if the bow hair is sticky enough and wondering why no sound would come 😂 can you also suggest a rosen?😊😊

In a movie america always became victim of alien attack in the real life america always attack another country, its so sad😢
"How it looks." That's all. Not how it looks "like."
Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. My daughter is just starting her first violin lessons and this kind of advice is pure gold for dads like me who know nothing about violin, but who anyway will be the person who needs to do all this :)
Congrats!! You deserve much much more than that!!! Keep doing this special art!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing! It is amazing your feeling to manage the two songs and makes it really beautiful, adjusted and touching! Congratulations! I’m your fan!! Very very interesting to know your thinking when creating the management!
Truly truly amazing composition of the themes!!! Amazing!!!!!!! I dream one day play like you!! Perfect!! Congratulations very inspiring!!❤
Wow, so many comments by chinese bots to praise this violin. Nice marketing scheme! 😆
Wow! This was really informative. As a relative beginner, thank you!
Now I just got my violin today and I noticed the bridge has now grooves on it. Do you make your own grooves or its suppose to come like that?
Great The first lesson 😁
Thank you !!
How much turns do i put the violin bow after ? Does that makes sense😅
Hmmm my tuner said: e1, a2, d3, g4. It only have 4 numbers for each string. Is that not correct?
Do I need a shoulder rest for my violin, or will i be okay without it?? i don't have a shoulder rest to attach to mine, im only 13 and i've already made my mom pay so much for the violin in general i dont want to stress her out with more money she has to spend 🙃🙃
It is amazing you can make good sound out of these cheap violins. The scoring method is kind of scientific. Great video!
Obviously the Mendini MV300 is a good enough violin for any beginner.
Thank you very much. I just bought a new one and trying to learn on my own. Was struggling to figure out why violin made no sounds. Keyword to the solution "super generous with rasin"
The frequencies you gave for each string in hz was very helpful. I need a key for A-410 please if you could. Also a key for A-415 I don't want to put you to any trouble but if you could I would be greatful. Thank you for this violin tutorial!
you blink everytime you change upstroke/downstroke
What song was playing in the background? I want to look it up and learn how to play it (^_^)
I really appreciate this video. It was quick and straight to the point. I just picked up violin again after 6 years of not playing and I’m relearning the ropes so this really helped me out! 😊
Hi. Well that was a Delight, My Dear. I am an ancient 72 Guitar Nut and thought I might try something different to keep the Brain in Operation, so bought a cheapo on a whim and I can assure you the Bridge is NOT in Line with the F-Stop cut outs. Easy fix on my painted job, just draw a Line between both F-Stop cutouts to centre the Bridge laterally. In no way are the strings Centered on the holdy bit, (see, I'm getting the Tech Terms already !), so I'll move the Bridge over, and once the Strings are centred with aforesaid holdy bit, I will use a Permanent Fine Line Marker and trace round the Bridge Base and onto the HORRIBLE Paintwork to make it easy for the next Bridge Shift. I have to admit, as an Engineer, those Fine Tuners took me by surprise. Nice touch. Still to investigate though. Thanks for the Video, it meant a Lot. Regards. Bloke. .
Never have I ever heard something so beautiful ever in my life. Thank you.
Fantastic video.
Very detailed. Thank you!
Nice information for setting up violin. Thank you so much.
Thank you for sharing. :)
Most people cry when they hear this but I don’t know why I just smile it’s so prettyyyy 😊
great video. I have a question. So I want to learn how to play and I bought a violin and while I was busy tuning it carefully, the A string snapped. I think I might have done something wrong but that string needed to be tuned higher in order for it to be in tune but it just snapped. what should I do to prevent this?
Best video ever
Provided they don't goof your bridge at the music store and $250 later you have a great instrument. Then you go to sell it and now it's a used Mendini with $250+ into it. Toss the original strings in the trash or hang pictures with them.
Did you change the strings if so what brand are the strings
bought a suzuki violin from a flea market for $35, hopefully this helps to set it up!
What’s the name of app?
If your fine tuner is fucked.. i missheard whatever she said there
Excellent video for beginner, thank you!
🤔It's not the violin, but the Princess, thank you Princess 🌹🌹
Thank you for the great demo and showing that cheap budget violins have come a long way. I bought a cheap "VSO" violin recently and it blows my old "real" violin bought from a professional violin shop decades ago ( at significantly more money ) out of water! I just want to play some nice pop music on my violin and it's outstanding for that. One caveat is that most of these cheap violins do not come with properly sized bridge and string rests too high on the nut. So it requires some work to set that up properly.
Nice video, but I wish it was more DIY oriented. It's very easy to do things like resize the bridge (as many cheap violins come with bridge which is way too high), reposition sound post (with right inexpensive tools). No need to go to violin shop which can cost you a pretty penny when you can do it yourself very easily.
Great review! Even cheap violin sounds great in hands of skilled violinist. I have even cheaper violin, Glarry GV101 which is a plywood violin and it's awesome. Actually far better than a much more expensive "real violin" bought from a professional violin shop years ago and which I played with for many years. So cheap does not necessarily mean bad with violins as long as you are comfortable with the violin and enjoy the music it produces.
Just got my acoustic violin lol
I'm 44 years old and only bought my first ever violin 🎻
Wow…I am 42 and I just bought one!!
1. Bow is way too loose. 2. RUBBING ALCOHOL? 3. Don’t take your peg out of the peg box when changing strings. #twoset please come
I just bought a violin and haven't started lessons. I think I didn't know what I was getting myself into. :)
I recently purchased a violin (Cremona SV-1260) and it is supposed to arrive today. I anticipate watching this video maybe 20 times once it arrives. Thank you so much!
Im just starting to play the violin and this answered many of my questions. Thank you!
You'll need to "fiddle around" with the position and angle. 😆
07:45 she lostn her G string LOL
