Great video! I like how you've broken everything down into categories. Here are some thoughts that I had while reading your list... - Don't forget a can opener if your can doesn't have a tab. - Camp shoes. Unless you really like whatever footwear you ride in, it's really nice to get out of them at the end of the day and a cheap pair of thongs (flip flops) does the trick. - Swim shorts. Same goes with riding pants which can be hot and uncomfortable depending on the weather. Including a pair of thin shorts with your socks and underwear doesn't add much bulk to your wardrobe kit and gives you some options. - Likewise, I always take a thin merino wool base layer. It adds warm in cooler weather but makes for good sleepwear in any season. - I like that you added some soap to your Bathroom kit but I would go a bit further and add some biodegradable dish soap as well to help with clean up after dinner. 'Camp Soap' can be used for both depending on the brand. - It should be noted that dehydrated meals are another option rather than a big heavy can of food. Just boil water. - I like your twig stove idea but regulating temperature is one of the biggest challenges when camp cooking so noobs should consider a fuel-powered stove of some sort. I love my JetBoil! - For me, part of camping is cooking (or at least reheating) but if you want to simplify it even more, skip all the kitchen stuff and just pack a sandwich. - Speaking of water, it depends on where you're going but paid campsites often have potable water access nearby so all you need is something in which to transport it. I like your water can idea but a simple water bottle works as well. For longer trips next to natural sources, a water filtration system is essential. - Lastly, I usually bring a belt knife. It can be used in the kitchen or by the campfire.
If you sleep naked, you warm up faster.
😂😂😂😂😂
I can’t decide whether I got more enjoyment out of this Video for educational purposes or just a whole Lotta laughs. Great video keep up the good work!
realy good video. thanks
I have the BMW R 1200 GSA 2006 year. It is a great bike.I have over 100 thousand KM and the motor is just fantastic. It doesnt have all the crazy electronics as the newer models have, which I see a plus. Less things to go wrong. Less extra costs. That was one of the considerations I took into account when buying my bike. I can do most repairs by myself without the need of a computer. The bike is responsive and fun to ride.
Question......i know im late but can you guys please tell me where you got those bars? I only see one place online and they seem to be out of business. Id really appreciate your help. Thanks. Great and fun video by the way
What’s happened to the channel mate ? Hope you’re ok ?
These are good bikes, no question, however , youwill sell the bike, when its in need if a rebuild, it will cost more than the value of the bike. These bikes and their Japanese counterparts are like disposable lighters, use them up and get rid of them, after all you can buy another lower mileage bike
Great video with much humour. Good of you to make all these beginner mistakes so we can learn from them. Many thanks!
So glad to find your channel, going camping next week and love your tips
What brand on GPS mount are you using above the instruments?
I found them on Temu for $1.76 lol
i wouldnt swap a dr650 for one
To solve my buffeting I removed the screen but left the mounting brackets. No more buffeting and the noise is tremendously reduced!! My last bike was a Kawa 450 which had no screen and no buffeting at any speed which gave me the idea! The Suzuki SV650 also doesnt have buffeting problems or a wind screen!
Talk about dumb and dumber there frame protectors nothing more dangerous than a she b right mechanics
I saw another video where they had a rattley cdi unit.
Hey guys. I bought my Suzuki intruder vl250, 2007. Do you know what is the purpose of the key setting near to the key ignition? It is in the sane side of the key ignition contact, same hight around 10 cm back? Thanks for your time and help
Awesome
Did you say 40% off 440? that would have been 176.00 off not 40 dollars. I suppose you're using that new math.
Hi ya. Great video. You state this is an American product it is actually Portuguese
Good
Have you noticed any issues when shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th? I’ve had an occasional issue where I’m shifting up and I’ll have to double tap the shift level to get it to go into 3rd and 4th
Thanks for the video!!
Your chosen tent looks good but… When I moto camp I like to be comfortable after a day travelling. I prefer a tent with a vestibule that I can actually sit in so I can get out of the weather if I need to so I always choose a tent that I can put my chair in and sit out of the rain. I totally agree with you about not going over the top and needing a huge tent so you can stand up in so have tents where the roof I’d a few above my head height when sitting in my chair. I tend to choose between two of my tents, the cheaper one is a dome tent and the other a tunnel tent. The dome tent is a Coleman Darwin 3+ and the more expensive one a Wechsel Outpost 3. The Wechsel is the best tent by far. It packs down as small as my smaller tents and is no heavier than the other 3 man tents. It has a lot of comfortable space for living and sleeping in and if necessary I can pack up the inner tent in the dry under the tunnel and pack the wet flysheet separately. You may have noticed that both my favoured tents have the number 3 in the title and are sold as 3 person tents. In reality they might be comfortable for two people and are perfect for one motorcyclist and their gear. I went cycle camping last year and took a two person dome tent without any vestibule with me. It was too small even for that trip without lots of bulky protective clothing and boots.
544kg hahaha
Helped loads thanks mate! Just installed mine, looks like B&B have updated the tail tidy to include the bit you angled grinded out. Mine was much more straight forward haha.
I want to stock my motorcycle boss... because I go to other country for years that's why i would like to learn how to stock motorcycle
What an awesome ride Mark. Max must have some K's on it by now. Still sounds bloody nice.
Badass! Is that a gen 1 or 2?
14:30 - Nice nav tablet Mark! Do you have a favorite navigation app? I'm sort of at a cross-roads at the moment where I can dump some money into a mount system for an older unit (Garmin Montana 610) or go for a newer platform and a lighter unit. The Garmin Montana 610 is actually a hefty little unit! On another note, I'm so glad you're doing these rides and posting videos. I've been following you since 2017 and really enjoy your content. I'm hoping to get into motorcycle camping in the not too distant future.
Hi. it would be more useful if the line of the track were represented the same, both in the GPX editor and DMD2 software. In this case I see a different representation of the track's lines from what I see in the GPx editor and what I see on the tablet. pity..
FFS, get on with it! Your preamble is interminable, give your voice a rest and tell us what you’re talking about! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
I always open the stirring as far as u need it before I cook. I never needed to change the settings of it during cooking.
This is the worst bullshit advice ive ever heard. If you are new to off road riding , dont listen to this nob.
Tell the truth its eye liner isn't it 😅
Absolutely appreciate that. Thank you fellas
That's a bloody great bloody video keep up the good bloody work absolutely blood good advice bloody marvellous
Nice one. I'd pour a bit of fresh oil into the new filters and wet the rubber tips with oil before installing, and inspect and grease the o rings...but that's just me. Otherwise a lovely clear video showing exactly what to do. I've subscribed and look forward to more....the luggage setup is very neat. Are there frames under the panniers, or do they just strap down?
Hope all is well, Mark. Have you thought about or seen the 790 kit for the DR650? Not sure you'd really need it but was curious it seems with all the DRs in Australia there would be one or two around there. If it gives you Tenere like power you'd think somebody would give it a go! Cheers!
What make is that windshield? Gotta get me one.
Not sure how I just randomly found and watched a 35 min video of a random tent getting reviewed, but what a good review!! I’m getting ready for my first solo camping trip on the motorcycle 😊. I’m from the Netherlands and just googled this tent and found it a Temu for around 100 euro😮😮 I’m still researching but it looks the same as the one on Amazon 😮
It's not a bad product but not good for night riding. Alot of glare and is slightly darker than the normal visor
Nice
Country dirt roads only to cumbersome heavy
Hey Mark 👋 Been checking out the new 450 himmy. Curious to know if you're going to do a review on one ?
Hi mate click down a gear would heap a lot with how wobbly you are or sitting at a higher rpm will help. your fighting the sand instead of cutting though it 👍 also sitting right back or hovering over the back so the front tyre skims over the top of the sand helps inside of standing
The AT does feel like a much bigger bike physically. The biggest question is , do you want a better highway experience or an easier off road experience. 🤔
Thanks for this Video! Bought a DR 650 R from 91 and had a problem with the choke too. In my case, the plastic screw was broken. So the DR wont start when warm and while driving I had 2500 rpm…. Yesterday I got the new screw and now I‘m going to fix it. Whish me well 😅 Best regards from Germany 🍀
You make it hard for yourself. Suggestions: -Take the wheel arch off so you can roll the bike off forward, take some of the pins out to create little dip areas for the wheels. -Roll back with the brake or clutch slowly & keep it straight so it doesn’t drop off. -Lean it gently against the canopy while you strap it. Or have a simple strap/clip to take the weight while you strap it. -Use clips & tensioners on the footpegs instead of straps. Straps on the bars can be backups.
