Chris -a.k.a "Rex"- likes to talk about planes. A lot.
Usually he spends his days consuming vast quanities of coffee, reading vast quantities of aviation-related books, and talking about his obsession for all things that fly (birdlife included). This channel will focus on aviation and aviation history. It will cover the history and development of aircraft, famous & equally obscure events, and delve into many of the lesser known stories of aviation. Enjoy!

I love to imagine a world in which the stock market crash and subsequent great depression didn't prematurely end the era of giant flying boat passenger liners. Thinking about all the massive and beautiful machines that could have existed if the market for them hadn't instantly dried up, and just how weird and wonderful they all could have been...
Please note: the replica based on a Mustang is hideous. Get me the plans and I'll build it right.
Eli Manning simply doesn't age.
Feel better, we'll be here waiting for you. Enjoy your books.
Amazing. I never heard of these aircraft before.
One .303mm machine gun. I think the designers forgot that this aircraft was meant to be a war plane.
I heard a second one is out and really popular
They should've made it a super luxury trip for rich people, I'm sure they could've charged very high prices to make a profit, kinda like those river cruise boats.

Thank you for this video
Nicely done. VERY nicely done.
Square windows no problem?
would you make a video on yak?
I'm so sorry, I hope you recover soon. Take your time, your health is more important than your videos.
Heal up!
Those of us that enjoy your content are happy to re watch old content. Be well dude
Interesting how they used the least practical and most expensive plane as a testbed.

Engine wasn't super charged
Your making more of what it was really like. I was a kid then and believe me, everyone didn't have a stick up their ass. They were more concerned about what the kids were exposed to.
I KNEW the Goblin would be on here.
24 May 24 again
The Spitfire was designed by a female designer, check the design team
Take care and get well. We can wait :)

Get well soon
On this celestial plane?
If you are fond of the P-40 read the war biography of Robert Scott. US transport pilot in China WWII. Begged a P-40 from Gen. Chennault leader of the Flying Tigers mercenaries before the entry of the U.S. in WWII. Scott joined the Flying Tigers when the US entered the war. The book is called God is my Copilot.

been there done that. good luck
Get well, I've had flu twice. One of them, I lost and an entire week, (literally I felt ill fell asleep, woke up a week later).. Thank you to my then girlfriend for rushing home between lectures to ensure I didn't die, feed and water me (I presume she also gave me a bed bath as well as apparently she was changing the sheets every day)
The joke was, 'Did you hear about the new P-400? Yeah, it's a P-40 with a Zero on it's tail.'
Not sure if I saw it right but coulda saw that guy threw up that bird at 1:10:08 😭
Just learning why Lockheed is spelled the way it is was worth the watch by itself.
Oh shit man get well and enjoy that tea and book time
Mate, same here, it’s been a week and I’m still not any better. Anyhow wishing you a speedy recovery!
if i could live anywhere it would be on a huge floatplane like this
Well worth another Watch , Tomlins Story was Hilarious ..
Why did he have the gear down in flight. That is just stupid. Once you are in the air and flying, the gear is up and remains there until approaching to land. There might be one or two exceptions to that, but never ever when doing flight parameter tests.
great vid although slightlt mind boggling with all the model numbers😳
I know and have flown a whole lot of common De Havilland aircraft, but I never ever realized that they once built something this massive. I am amazed.
Another thought: You are tickled pink because you get Gate 3, not 627, but with that wing span, gate 3 is still 7 miles away. :)
absolutely mind blowing , well done . i feel like ive eaten the book after watching this video ,every moment a work of art
If they'd installed a Griffon in the MB.3 instead of the Napier Sabre, Baker would likely have lived and that fighter would have been produced to at least replaced the Hurricane.
Take it easy, and get well soon
Get well soon. You are missed but health take priority. Feel better 😊
Get well soon.
Febb-roo-air-ee. February. Often mispronounced. Also "noo-KLEE-urr", not nuke-you-lurr. Nuclear. I never heard you pronounce that one, everybody gets it wrong. I am Virgo, relax, it's my job.
Make it fly !!!!!
If you are going to build the damned thing then honor the designer by the saints or it is a curse and sacraledge !!!!😮
