House is in my name, we have been together for 7 years, we have a cohabitation agreement, I paid for half the house initially, he’s been paying his half of the mortgage which is in my name because he wasn’t working and poor credit,, also a second mortgage to pay off his credit card debts in my name,, we separated and sold the house, I agreed that his lawyer would hold the funds, my lawyer is sick and away indefinitely, I sign the cohabitation agreement that says we are joint tenants, which I don’t even know what that means, his lawyer drew up the agreement,, are the 2 mortgages to come out on his profit of the house?

Hi, im wondering if u can help clear something up for me and thank you I would appreciate it so much if you could. Here is my question, what if one person in a bf/gf realtionship that had been going on for about ten years. Lived together on and off again and one is on welfare/odsp and after their breakup, the one on welfare/odsp sues the other through a "unjust enrichment claim", Is it still able to get it aproved by a lawyer and judge to go through? Even though the person who is welfare/odsp already has another house on his name and has limits on what assets and on how many properties that a welfare/odsp re allowed to legally own while under welfare/ odsp ? From what i have checked, Odsp/ welfare has limits on how much assets a person is allowed to have while they are on income support such as that and any extra properties/assets were supposed to be reported to welfare/odsp , since Odsp/welfare support program only allows one vehicle and one property , unless some special circumstances arise but it must first be reported to and aproved by the odsp office first. Which the person who is trying to sue me did not do. So they already have another house on thier name and the one that the person is trying to get half ownership of is on my name , and he cannot legally own another or half since they are limited on what they can invest and own . he is on odsp/ontario works welfare support program , so he has restrictions on what hes allowed to own under income support. So based on all that, can a unjust enrichment claim get aproved by a judge to go forward still ? Or no ?

I have been victim of stalking since 2010, and earlier. Now stalking me has moved by criminals to being stalked by my own brothers, and some relatives, and neighbours. It is taking the forms of phoney calls, defamation, consistantly refusing job offer applications, harassments, and requesting to show my daily work scheduals. There is more to those harassmnets and I want to discuss how I can overcome this disaster.

Hello! My x gf has lied a year after breaking up and has filed for divorce even though I never married her and never agreed to marry. She changed the locks on me and took everything I own including my dogs and I still can’t get her out. I tried eviction court but the day after I filed for eviction she filed for divorce. She never brought a cent into the relationship and never paid any of our bills in our 4 years. I’m in shock over this. Is telling the court I never agreed enough? I’m reading a lot of mixed stuff. The house is mine and I paid every cent of all bills. She married someone else before we met and after 11 months divorced him and took a lot of his money. It is so stressful especially because I am in disability and unable to ever work again. She’s a professional con artist and seems to be very good at this. No joint taxes, bank accounts etc. Any advise would be really appreciated. Thanks so much!! I own the house in Texas.

Women lose much more in marriage than men. They usually end up getting stuck with the kids and a man who complains about having to pay for her to babysit them 24/7. And I've heard of MANY women getting screwed out of their property. ANd having to pay alimony ~even at times when SHE had full custody of the kids. I've also heard a woman say her male lawyer told her that her instance of marital rape was not criminal. He told her that when she got married, she gave her body to her husband to use as he wished. And this was in 2008!!!!!! Yeah, women are f#cked when it comes to marriage. The whole history of marriage is to make women become the property of a man. Of course, prior to marriage she was already the property of a man . . . . her father. Oh, I just keep remembering all the horror stories concerning men 'making out' in the divorce. There was a story several years ago of a man winning some sort of large-sum lottery during his divorce. He felt it was unfair that he would have to give some of that money to his ex-wife-to-be to care for the children. The woman made a decent salary (though I didn't check it against the cost of living where she lived, so it might not have been that much. But it was a very good wage considering the area I currently live in), but he didn't want to pay for his own doggone kids to have a life where they wouldn't have to worry about the house getting foreclosed on. And wouldn't you know that this sk@nk hadn't paid any child support up until that time, even though he wasn't living in the house and his ex-wife-to-be was babysitting them full time. You can probably find this article online somewhere, It was one of the more notorious headlines of the day at the time. I assure you, if roles were reversed (the woman won the money and the man had custody of the kids), the woman would be totally shamed not only for not giving MOST of the money 'to her kids', but also because she didn't have custody. I know this as I am a non-custodial female parent who has to pay support to my ex, who is a man. I got so shamed just for the simple fact of not having custody. I also got shamed for not giving 100% of my measly paycheck to my ex. "You should be grateful that he is willing to take care of the child." IT:S HIS OWN KID! Of course he should be taking care of them!!!! SO misogynistic. Our society is a d!ck to us women.

This can only be a good thing that CL doesn't force all of this entitlement down our throats. There is a divide and rule agenda that is being run by the wealthy people who run the world for the purposed of complete control. These are the ones enforcing this rubbish and its usually only against one particular demographic. (female) otherwise it wouldn't create division. If you look at the percentage of men who win vs women its obviously biased. Since 2020 they've been rooting out all of these rich folks and we're soon going back to full CL.

If you had a house before the relationship, it wouldn't be included anyway, even in traditional marriage. It's 50/50 of stuff acquired during a marriage only. So... in this example, there was nothing to "loophole" your way around in the first place. If you bought a house DURING the relationship, then it is unlikely to do anything either. The court will view the real estate as 50% hers generally, so collecting rent from her will be seen as deeply unconscionable (since she would be paying for something she already owns, they'll see it as just a plain flat out scam) and you'll probably just end up owing her all the rent money back AND 50% of the house. Instead of some dumb "loophole" that barely makes any sense in the first place logically, just get a prenup to cover these issues (or the equivalent of a prenup for common law which is a cohabitation agreement). They aren't 100% but they're way WAY more likely to hold up than whatever bizarre tenancy shenanigans you are planning.

Did I hear right? A common law marriage is not a legally binding contract without a court paper saying so? My mother is sadly on her deathbed in a hospital, her so-called common law male live in partner is trying to connive himself into her will which I yet need to see. I want to get all of her assets noterized to get her out of Ontario care and into private care. I'm so unhappy that someone pretends to love a partner for ulterior selfish motives.

Hello Peter, I love your easy-to-understand videos. I was under the impression that an eight-year common law marriage had to be acknowledged through the Ontario Government to make it legal? Her boy-friend who claims to be her common-law husband, put my mother in the hospital for Alzheimer where she is right now without consulting me. I am the eldest of three siblings. I'm worried about her life and the Will dispersant because she seems to be facing an imminent death. This man has caused a lot of her Alzheimer by forcing her to sell her condo and move in with him with his total control. Also, he scared away her friends and family with his extremely gruff manner towards anybody that could stand in his way. Now he's trying to connive himself into the main part of her will. This man is also a past widower and has remade her last will and testimony with her with his own lawyer a few years ago. I think he's done this before with his deceased ex-wife. I have no money to hire a lawyer to fight this. He has given me his Lawyer's number to discuss her Will even though she is still alive. If you can shed any light on this predicament I will be most grateful and hopefully relieved. Thank you.

This dude's a hack. I listened to his other YT video about regular & common law marriage. He was very very wrong. He claimed a person would lose 50% of property value in a divorce, even if the couple was married only a year. totally wrong! At least, in the state of Michigan (and probably most states). Michigan is an 'equitable distribution' state. Unless the divorce would leave one of the party destitute, the court takes into account how long the marriage lasted and who brought what income into the marriage. Furthermore, what one brings into the marriage leaves with that person in the divorce. Pre-marriage standing: House in her name? It's hers after the divorce. Car in his name? He gets it in the divorce. Everything acquired after the divorce is split up according to who can sustain that asset. Of course, the judge has a lot of say in this and has to do the best she/he can to make sure no one's left with an asset they can't afford AND make sure no one's left destitute. I would like to add, for those of you inquiring minds, I put this rant on this video because the comments on the other one was turned off. I guess this dude got a lot of flack for his misinfo on the other one ~that's probably why he turned comments off.
