Doing my first ever track experience with an instructor here tomorrow, my nervousness and exitment levels are off the charts.
This is fantastic. Thank you
For those watching this - the yellow/red/white squares are still there, and per multiple sources are SPECIFICALLY for alignment reference points for folks to align themselves going down the hill, and therefore unlikely to change
Maybe you're drifting and ice racing experience gave you an edge In the rain.
Sounds like you forgot to take the angry squirrels out of the trunk. 😂
Sounds more like Alvin, Simon, Theodore & the chipettes having a sound check before the festival starts.
Race 3 was for the drifty boys and girls.
thanks for this
Best video of its kind. Thank you.
Would it be beneficial to straddle the anti-cut curb on turns 7 and 9 similar to the way it is done on turn 19? I did this at a track day and wonder if I’m “cheating”
How do you manage with the standard front calipers?
fun to watch, congrats a few years later
I built two cars from scratch with a similar layout (Google "Midlana" and "Kimini"). Was a ton of work but also learned a Lot, meeting many very interesting people along the way!
Can we do this to A FA5
I love the very detailed walk through. After seeing this, I'm going to try to change up my turn-in into the bus stop as I feel like I can find the most time there! One correction though. WGI - Grand Prix Circuit (with Inner Loop Chicane) - is 3.45 miles long as per Wiki, not 2.5 miles as stated in this video.
How did this gear set treat you ?
9:09 waving to Ben😂
Man, i hated to see the s2ks go, but I saw it coming (I heard you say it at AMP when Tom was coaching me, but 🙉🙊🙈😂). Anyway, its good to see you back out in GLTC! 🤙 Good luck with the new chassis, and thanks for shipping out that spindle Monday!! 🍻
Don’t worry we still will be racing a few S2’s. Just need to expand our knowledge with a few other platforms.
My brake pedal went to the floor at 11:48 and gave me quite a scare 😅 forgot to set the brake pads before entry. That was a great race though! Cant wait for a rematch!
This chassis/engine should be really special if the swap is done right. Looking forward to hearing more about the package as development progresses!
Is this an FA24?
Sounds like a k
It's an FA.
With an 8k redline? Living dangerously. Sounds more like a k also.
@DeweyWRX yeah I'm also curious how's he doing it. But it should be FA24, should be 🤷♂️. Cus at live they talked about him running the twins chassis with the latest fa24.
@@VinRZ yeah but I'm betting this is still a K
The car doesn’t like that 3-4 shift! Great start to the new chassis though!
No it was giving me troubles all weekend. Next trans will be a pinky shifting transmission.
new overlay is cool
Nice and respectful driving! What are the hand signals you were making?
watching all the way from barbados
what thickness were the carbon fiber sheets you used for the tire spats? you mentioned 1mm but they look a little thicker. also, do they hold its shape after cooling? and during testing, did you find them to push back and into the tire well from drag at high speeds due to mounting points? also, my widebody evo has its inner fender lips cut, any suggestions on how to attach this piece to the fender well?
Turn 16 will make or break a good lap time.
I appreciate this video so much. It can be so frustrating to try to learn new things when it seems so easy to your friends and people you look up to. Thanks for posting
I cant wait
Nice pb
Found you from Brian Vang's (bvspeed) latest video! 🍻
Very good guide. Note for endurance racing use less curbing, especially in the bus stop.
Fantastic
I did this track in a Ferrari 458GTB last month and I don't have a lot of on-track experience but found this course to be really fun to drive. Love these coaching videos, wish I'd seen this prior to flying down there.
This race is insane… your car & that 370z in front of you handle like they’re literally on rails holy shitttt. I need some coilover suspension on my Z soon
Wait this isnt a video game?
NEVER, NEVER wire your main power disconnect through negative wire, always positive closet to battery.
The Harbor Freight Extendable Magnet used as a pointer let’s me know I’m in the right place.
Any chance of a Carolina Motorsports Park video now that GridLife is going there?
Great video. I did 10 laps yesterday in my sim rig practicing for an upcoming race. Felt like the line wasn't great. Watched the video today and cut 1.5 off yesterday's PB in just a couple laps by correcting line issues.
AC? I don't feel like the map I got showed the bumps so well. Also what race?
Oh, just saw the profile! I'll be at Lemons as well.
@jaredjabouri7935 yes, lemons this weekend. I believe many of those bumps were resurfaced.
✳SEQ-T sounds good. (must have got all [or most] of the adjustments completed).🙂
I always used the dtc70/60 combo, straight line braking was good but was never happy with trail braking, way too sensitive... In the past was used to pfc11 with e46 platforms and was much easier to modulate. So I'm curious how ER-1 perform with lower friction coefficient?
Does the trunk still open with this wing?
Whats the specs on this S2000??
I’ve got my Ek Hatch stripped and have my complete K20c1 ready to drop in…. I need details!!!!
Two wheels too many!
Excellent choice. Building and prepping your own race cars is very gratifying.
That transmission is crazy! Looking fwd to racing with y'all at Barber in GP2!
Hi Andy. I'm running itbs. Isit safe to idle at 0 or 1 degree of igniton timing? I'm referring back to a old video of gears and gasoline where you said it'll probably idle at 0 degrees advance. Thanks
✳Two hands on the wheel (must be nice). Both your mechanic and your driving mind must be pretty active💥(adjusting to the SEQ-T).
hard to beat straight line speed even when you are faster.
