It’s so crazy how her and none of her friends realized how she was behaving just like Big with Aidan. So then she finds a great guy like Aiden who gives her everything she's ever wanted, and once the commitment of marriage comes up, she ups and bails on Aiden again. Carrie was the problem and the antagonist in this show.

To add to my comment - her costume seems to be a nod to Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Simple hair, tight leggings and classic top. So the team was thinking about that iconic movie. Just wish Carrie could have recognized it. But then we wouldn’t have the rest of the series. Sigh. I really loved SATC.

I love this scene between Carrie and Big. But it’s where I started to be annoyed by Carrie. She always made fun of their age difference. You can always learn things about someone when you look into their past and respect it. This is the first time we hear of Big’s parents and it’s a fond memory. And if she just opened up to it, she would have also discovered that Moon River is from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a story about another New York character, Holly GoLightly who was so much like Carrie. That intimate moment when they dance- my parents actually danced often in the house. They loved Henry Mancini, therefore I did, just like Big. This scene really touched a place in my heart.
