Dream Lens Media

Dream Lens Media

We're all about telling stories beautifully to inspire powerfully. There are so many incredible stories that go untold, we're out to change that. If you watch one of our films and walk away inspired to make a change in your personal life, try a new hobby, embrace a new challenge, then we've done our job.

Carrie Highman picked up a camera for the first time as a reporter at a local TV station in a small town in Wisconsin. She fell in love with the power of visual story telling and after her contract ended she launched Dream Lens Media. Teaming up with her husband and Dream Lens drone pilot Tim Highman, she began filming micro-documentaries.

The journey has been full of ups and downs but the passion grows with each story and with each film. We invite you to follow along on our process of entrepreneurship and film making. We're committed to telling it how it is and hope we will encourage you along the way.

Joe Rogan: "Her demon's a quiet demon. It's there." Dauwalter: "I don't like to fail and I want to finish everything I start." [chuckling] "Is that a demon?" Joe's obsession that ultra endurance athletes must have demons is so frustrating. It's not unlike the "tortured artist" trope. Just because some great athletes and artists battled addiction or some other "demon" does not at all indicate all athletes/artists must. Get over it, Joe, you are insulting her accomplishments! Don't over complicate it: she has unbelievable willpower and she works really hard.

You inspire me to be better for my son. He saw me do a 100k in 2019 and he’ll see me do a marathon in 2024 after being fairly unhealthy throughout 2022/2023. Our family are inspired by you.

Phew! I am 1 week away from my first marathon. Started training at 50 yrs age, BMI of 28, and took me 6 long months. Have sacrificed sleep,, Entertainment, with lots of running across trails and parks. Now, 6 months later, can't wait for it. Did 3 , 20 plus miles runs. BMI went down to 26 already. Wish me luck 🤞

This is sooo inspiring to me. As a 56 almost 57 yr old trail runner looking to run my first ultra I take Courtney on my runs. When I hit my hardest and when I feel like quitting, I always tell my self: “You have the heart and soul, the mental strength, and the passion of Courtney! And I always pull through! She is the Michael Jordan and the Kobe of trail running!

Courtney I really love your spirit to crush everything what's in front of you 🙏 You're the person that started the fire within me for ultra running and that I can do it to becaue my mind went like that: When a small and thin looking person like she can run so far, then I can too. So and because of that fuel I really started running on a daily basis and after ten months of just regular slow running I ran a 50 miler complete on my own because covid was going nuts. I finished it in 10 hours and 26 minutes, and it was literally the hardest thing I had done in my life so far. It roughed me up pretty bad 😄 I have to admit that my math that I can do it too was hilarious. I underestimated it pretty good 😄 Thank you, Courtney, for being my light in this dark world because running changed everything in life for me 🙏 Through you I discovered my purpose for being here on this earth 🙏 So thank you again Courtney. Someday we will meet 🙏 I'm sure of that. I love you Courtney for your being. Thank you 🙏
