Winter Ultra Runner | Trains in Sub Zero Temps with Unique Training Partners
Pete Witucki is a winter ultra runner from Madison, Wisconsin. While most ultra runners scale back their training in the dead of winter, Pete's just the opposite. His peak ultra running season is January and February.
He gets miles in regardless of the temperatures. In Wisconsin, wind chills dip well below zero. In Pete's opinion, "you can always put more on but you can only take so much off."
This year, he's training for the Arrowhead 135. It's a winter ultra race in northern Minnesota. Temperatures dip to -30°F.
Pete says training partners are really important when training for a long winter ultra race. Watch Rolling Deep to see how he's preparing for the Arrowhead 135 and what his training group looks like.

I'm not a winter person but this is one of the cutest videos I've ever seen. Adorable and inspiring!
Awesome video and story! I just completed this race on bike and to be out there that much longer running it is intense!
