I 100% agree. I cancelled my Adobe CC subscription when this story first broke. I've been using Capture One and Final Cut Pro for a long time, so the only loss for me was Photoshop. Hopefully a windfall for Serif (the makers of Affinity Photo).

@@adnan_velic I much prefer Capture One to Lightroom. I’ve used both extensively and find that Capture One has better control over color, a better raw processing engine (especially for X-trans), wayyyy better tethering, more flexible organizational tools, and is just the industry standard on set (especially if you hire a digitech to help on shoot day). I found Lightroom is better for flexible presets and processing timelapses (thanks to LR Timelapse) neither of which I need. Capture One tethered into an iPad Pro via high-speed USB-C is my new on location tether setup.

I first thought that I didn't know how to configure my camera until I went online and realized that everybody had the same issue. I noticed the pulsating effect in a low light environment, so I was like, I guess that's normal...but it really wasn't. Post 7.0, it looks like it's much better especially in AF-C mode. Yet, I may switch to a Sony because I feel somewhat betrayed by the brand (but Sony is so much more expensive when it comes to lenses, etc.). Still on the fence.

Many say tip of day don't upload anything to their Cloud Stock; Copyright issues, etc, loss of ££/$$ royalties going forward ? - likely to be used to feed their AI flyfire AI gen engine to train it eventually that full AI tools will be Adobe Photoshop so it can AI generate art work - little need for many Content Creators.

I stay with Adobe. Why? Well first of all the sheer amount of option you get is unmatched Ps and LR on Desktop, Web, Mobile and all having al ist the same options for editing. Also I can opt out of having my Cloud Images used for training their AI. Do you also cancel Google, Meta etc? T ja ey use your images also. For me the Subscription is a good choice that way I can use Programs that otherwise I might not get due to the price and with the subscription I always have the latest versions. If I buy it I need to get a new version each time the sw makes a full jump like One1. So do as you wish but there are all company’s out for profits and Canva is not the holy savior a lot of yt channels make it look like, the to will go subscription as they did with all their programs. If Adobe is that bad I hope all KZreadrs that make Adobe content right now do not monetise their video.

@@ArminSteiner you’re missing the point… they are deliberately locking folks into these monthly plans and making it difficult to understand what you’re actually signing up for. The US government agrees with me and that’s why they are suing Adobe. They are the only company currently being sued for this practice from my understanding. This isn’t even the main reason why I’m cancelling. They are wanting licensing rights to my photos. If you just take pictures of your kids or for fun and don’t care well that’s cool for me however I care about my rights. The fact that they tried to just sneak this massive bombshell past creators is why people are furious. Man some of the photos I take are extremely difficult to take and I risk my life to take them. I want 100% legal rights to all of my footage and I give no one else permission to my work. I don’t use canva, I don’t care about getting monetized I’m good in life with the businesses I run. I’m making these videos to make other people aware of these sleazy practices!

Inbetween the changes of TOS there was no option to reject and by selecting this they had their mitts on your data ( and mine) - data grab to train their AI, now of all the fury they backtracked and put back option to opt in / out.

In order to avoid their subscription model, I went ahead and bought the final standalone LR, which was the LR6 right before it was totally phased out. I"m happily using it since 2018 till the Jan this year (2024) and they revoked my licence when I tried to activate my LR6 after re installed it on my new motherboard. That made me so mad, so much for the "Perpetual Licence". I actually started with Capture one but finding that I like LR works better for me. Now, I'm looking seriously at luminar Neo and the On1 photo raw...

I primarily photograph dogs with the XH2s. My problem with the autofocus is that it initially focuses on an eye, but later I see on the computer that the plane of focus is on the nose. Does anyone else have this problem?

Capture One is a great program. Now, after the ToS came out, I wanted to opt out of Adobe. I had bought annual subscriptions so there was no money coming back to me (that's bad, but a contract is a contract), so I went in and canceled my plans (Ps and Ai). I then went into My Account to delete my account, but the option wasn't there. I contacted Chat and asked them how to do this. After an hour of getting pure BS, I was abandoned. I went back in and got someone else who spent another hour with me and said it would be done. It wasn't. They said go to my account and delete it there. The option still wasn't there. So I went the route again and was told I still had a Stock Image Plan and that would have to be cancelled first. I told them to do it, but they said that would take 5 to 7 business days. I got an email 2 days later saying it was done and I could now go in and cancel my account. I couldn't. Turns out I also have an Acrobat account (not one I ordered or have ever paid into), and that's why I still wasn't seeing the Delete Account option. I got back on the email and by now I'm getting a bit "insistent" on all this. I got another guy who said it would take 30 days to close the account after I select the Delete Account, and they had deleted the Acrobat plan for me, so I could now go in and that option would be available. Nope. Plan is still there. When I contacted them again, they said they would phone me in 12 days to 'assist in resolving this issue.' I said I never asked for a phone call and why did I need one? I spelled it out yet again what I wanted. No reply. If there ever was any chance that I would have come back to Adobe before, there isn't now. It will take a full month to get the request through and I seriously doubt they have any intention of honouring their promises that were made to me repeatedly. I am sending a copy of my transcripts to the DoJ and FTC on this. In the meantime I've moved to Affinity. Never going back.

AFC single point with eyes tracking. Sensitivity +1 speed 0. This is a talking head video you’re watching and even here the AF is struggling…. If you want to see a full in depth video on firmware 7.0 there is a guy on here who just made a full 26 minute video breaking everything down. His results are similar to mine except he uses way more examples and shows you settings of everything. This is not a user fault I’ve been shooting with fuji since 2018 I know these cameras inside and out. I know what lenses do what. I chose the 18-120 f4 because that is the best AF capable lens for video Fuji makes at the moment and I didn’t want people questioning me on the lens aspect of this issue. The lens was updated and the body was updated.

@@GhostFox. That's one thing it doesn't do yet, I expect they'll add it in since lots of people keep asking about it. The few times I've needed to path something I just didn't feel like doing by pen tool I used Inkscape or Krita and just pasted it in. A minor inconvenience but hasn't been a deal breaker for me.

Look, its not just Adobe, its common with most high text software companies. How do you think they can create a quantum ai singularity to rule us all? They harvest all content, what we say is recorded, what we text is recorded and what we do professionally on high end softwares is analyzed. This is how they input huge meta data to machine learning computer systems. It is our intelligence harvested. Look I'll be saying with Adobe, so what, my images are not so private, big deal. What else could you possibly use? Infinity photo? Please, cannot compete. We all know what they are doing, just don't take the mark of the beast when it comes, thats when I pull out of the world system, we then die for the Lord Jesus Christ for day after that will be a nightmare.

I don't really care too much to be honest. If you are online there are many people that are gonna take your images anyway and if they're just looking at my images to improve the software or catch people doing the wrong thing I don't really have a problem with it they're just images we've got stop being so pretentious. It's not like they're gonna take my image and take it off to the Printer and get some large prints done and then sell them on a big billboard. They're not gonna do that. They're just looking at them to do whatever they need to do. I don't really care. I think you're making a way bigger deal out of this and you need to.

Here in the USA that right is actually enforced heavily. It is extremely easy to make someone using your image take the image down. It’s not about giving them permission to look at them to do what ever they need to do you’re totally missing the point….. This is the same thing as taking a crayon marker and then crayola telling you nice picture you drew there but that’s ours now. You don’t care about ownership of your photos?!

You can buy gun at a corner store in America and shoot people and no one is complaining about that if you really want to complain about what's going on in America complain about your laws and how risky they are. I'm not the Point at all. If you are online posting on Facebook or Instagram they are looking at your images as well if you are posting on any online platform, everyone is looking at your images. You still own your photos and you can still print them and you can still sell them and you can still do whatever you like with them. If someone happens to look at them then that's the way it goes. I just think you're way overreacting to this and I think you're just doing it to get another video and a few clicks. Please come up with something far more intelligent than this.

This is such a big deal that the US government had to get involved and SUE adobe… This is a big deal.. If it’s not a big deal to you then that’s ok no worries. When I post my images on Instagram they still belong to me no matter what but adobe wants rights to the footage I upload onto Lightroom and I definitely won’t stand for that. If you want to roll over and have your rights taken away that’s ok but not me. I don’t care about clicks or what ever KZread is not a source of income for me. you need to measure correct exposure before shooting video, making sure that if you need some elbow-room in lighting, to set your settings on the safe side (overexposed slightly)… for small changes auto-iso should still serve you well in video

@@Mortenthorpe-DK I cannot use auto-iso. I cannot have the iso change on me mid scene. As far as setting exposure correctly I’ve been doing that. Like I said firmware 1 had perfect AF and now it’s terrible. This is not a matter of me not knowing how to use the camera. I’ve been shooting with Fuji since 2018 I know these cameras inside and out. I own 3 bodies xh2, xh2s and the xt4. The xt4 AF is now on par with my xh2s.

In order to avoid their subscription model, I went ahead and bought the final standalone LR, which was the LR6 right before it was totally phased out. I"m happily using it since 2018 till the Jan this year (2024) and they revoked my licence when I tried to activate my LR6 after re installed it on my new motherboard. That made me so mad, so much for the "Perpetual Licence". I actually started with Capture one but finding that I like LR works better for me. Now, I'm looking seriously at luminar Neo and the On1 photo raw...

I like how these events are starting to show people what businesses really are, which is a structure to take as much money as possible from you and give it to the few. So long as you're still buying it, the more they charge and the less they spend the better, which necessarily degrades the product.

All Adobe products removed from my computer about 2 hours ago. This fiasco was the last straw, but they've been on the downward trajectory ever since they switched to subscription-based. They have made it abundantly clear that they did not wish to get any more money from me, so I have obliged.

I primarily photograph dogs with the XH2s. My problem with the autofocus is that it initially focuses on an eye, but later I see on the computer that the plane of focus is on the nose. Does anyone else have this problem?

@@BryanSolidusFury because when I first bought the camera the autofocus was good enough for what I do then later the autofocus became terrible and I feel like I’ve been tricked. Now I’m going to lose like $1000-$1500 selling all my used fuji gear.

Capture One is a great program. Now, after the ToS came out, I wanted to opt out of Adobe. I had bought annual subscriptions so there was no money coming back to me (that's bad, but a contract is a contract), so I went in and canceled my plans (Ps and Ai). I then went into My Account to delete my account, but the option wasn't there. I contacted Chat and asked them how to do this. After an hour of getting pure BS, I was abandoned. I went back in and got someone else who spent another hour with me and said it would be done. It wasn't. They said go to my account and delete it there. The option still wasn't there. So I went the route again and was told I still had a Stock Image Plan and that would have to be cancelled first. I told them to do it, but they said that would take 5 to 7 business days. I got an email 2 days later saying it was done and I could now go in and cancel my account. I couldn't. Turns out I also have an Acrobat account (not one I ordered or have ever paid into), and that's why I still wasn't seeing the Delete Account option. I got back on the email and by now I'm getting a bit "insistent" on all this. I got another guy who said it would take 30 days to close the account after I select the Delete Account, and they had deleted the Acrobat plan for me, so I could now go in and that option would be available. Nope. Plan is still there. When I contacted them again, they said they would phone me in 12 days to 'assist in resolving this issue.' I said I never asked for a phone call and why did I need one? I spelled it out yet again what I wanted. No reply. If there ever was any chance that I would have come back to Adobe before, there isn't now. It will take a full month to get the request through and I seriously doubt they have any intention of honouring their promises that were made to me repeatedly. I am sending a copy of my transcripts to the DoJ and FTC on this. In the meantime I've moved to Affinity. Never going back.
even working with Adobe acrobat feels like your computer is a 386, they made it so sluggish and it eats up your RAM as if the file you've opened was the entire library of Alexandria. Since I've switched to Sumatra I'm never coming back to that Adobe crap.

All of these firmware videos leave out the context of AF-C settings being used.
AFC single point with eyes tracking. Sensitivity +1 speed 0. This is a talking head video you’re watching and even here the AF is struggling…. If you want to see a full in depth video on firmware 7.0 there is a guy on here who just made a full 26 minute video breaking everything down. His results are similar to mine except he uses way more examples and shows you settings of everything. This is not a user fault I’ve been shooting with fuji since 2018 I know these cameras inside and out. I know what lenses do what. I chose the 18-120 f4 because that is the best AF capable lens for video Fuji makes at the moment and I didn’t want people questioning me on the lens aspect of this issue. The lens was updated and the body was updated.

Switched to Affinity a few months back, actually enjoying doing "art" again.
I've looked at it but haven't tried it, and I want to try before I buy. Does it do path lineart? I'm primarily a Corel user, but I often switch back and forth. Some of the things I do requires using the Akvis plugins as well.

@@GhostFox. That's one thing it doesn't do yet, I expect they'll add it in since lots of people keep asking about it. The few times I've needed to path something I just didn't feel like doing by pen tool I used Inkscape or Krita and just pasted it in. A minor inconvenience but hasn't been a deal breaker for me.
@@GhostFox. they have an illustrator clone called designer, photoshop is just called photo, or photo 2. I'd check em out, they are easy enough to find and crack online as well if you can't afford the massive 50% discount they are selling it at to pull in Adobe customers.

Look, its not just Adobe, its common with most high text software companies. How do you think they can create a quantum ai singularity to rule us all? They harvest all content, what we say is recorded, what we text is recorded and what we do professionally on high end softwares is analyzed. This is how they input huge meta data to machine learning computer systems. It is our intelligence harvested. Look I'll be saying with Adobe, so what, my images are not so private, big deal. What else could you possibly use? Infinity photo? Please, cannot compete. We all know what they are doing, just don't take the mark of the beast when it comes, thats when I pull out of the world system, we then die for the Lord Jesus Christ for day after that will be a nightmare.

I don't really care too much to be honest. If you are online there are many people that are gonna take your images anyway and if they're just looking at my images to improve the software or catch people doing the wrong thing I don't really have a problem with it they're just images we've got stop being so pretentious. It's not like they're gonna take my image and take it off to the Printer and get some large prints done and then sell them on a big billboard. They're not gonna do that. They're just looking at them to do whatever they need to do. I don't really care. I think you're making a way bigger deal out of this and you need to.

Here in the USA that right is actually enforced heavily. It is extremely easy to make someone using your image take the image down. you need to measure correct exposure before shooting video, making sure that if you need some elbow-room in lighting, to set your settings on the safe side (overexposed slightly)… for small changes auto-iso should still serve you well in video
@@Mortenthorpe-DK I cannot use auto-iso. I cannot have the iso change on me mid scene. As far as setting exposure correctly I’ve been doing that. Like I said firmware 1 had perfect AF and now it’s terrible. This is not a matter of me not knowing how to use the camera. I’ve been shooting with Fuji since 2018 I know these cameras inside and out. I own 3 bodies xh2, xh2s and the xt4. The xt4 AF is now on par with my xh2s.
