Fujifilm 16-55 vs Tamron 17-70 my thoughts
Hey!
Just a quick little opinion video about these two amazing lenses. I have used both of these extensively and can confidently say the 16-55 is a better overall lens. The reach is enough, the built quality is superb and the optics are incredible HOWEVER the Tamron has a lot going for it. It's lighter, has ibis that works with the xh2s and actually enhances it. If someone asked me to give one up I would keep my beloved Fuji lens.

Just watched a review over at DA Dustin Abbot, he used the 16-55 on the new 40mp sensor and it doesn't hold up. It needs a refresh and that's for sure, when I use mine on my X-T5 the results were better on my X-T3 with 26mp. The same goes for my 16mm 1.4 my favourite lense. The older classic Fuji lenses are starting to show their age on the new cameras, I might give the Tamron 17-70 a try.

The Tamron is nice but optically it’s worse than the 16-55. I’m thinking about selling it actually. The lens I’m using a lot lately is the 18-120mm f4.

@@adnan_velic That's more of a video lense and at F/4 it doesn't do it for me. The reviews I've watched say there's not that much of a difference in IQ with the Tamron, Sigma and Fuji f/2.8 lenses. I mainly use primes, but use a zoom for events and 2 bodies. But I have noticed a difference on the 16-55 with the 40mp sensor compared to the 26mp.
