Dude your family licking the bowl clean in the background is unbearable. Feed them enough so they aren't licking bowls clean especially on video. 👎

I know it’s an older video, but 6:56 is such a true statement in any field. I’m a musician and the same applies to any of my students who decide not to practice something new. And I have to remind them, the lesson or performance is not the time to work that out.

Watching this in 2024…and I think they got this problem solved. Mine has gone through almost the same amount of “cycles” and all I’ve noticed is finish wear. No material rolling or anything like that. But it’s still something that I’m keeping an eye out for. Even if it did start wearing like that I don’t think it would bother me to much because it stopped ME from inducing my own malfunctions because of my mongloid sized hands always riding the slide stop. So even if it did…it’s only $50 bucks to get a new one…that’s like 2 cartons of eggs here in 2024 so it’s not too bad. 😂 JK. Great video as usual…honesty is hard to come by in gun tubers. And some are testing so many different things that they don’t get to put large amounts of rounds on something to fully test it. Couple thousand rounds before moving on to the next product is about as far as most gun tubers are able to go before the next big thing. Lol. 🤙🏴🦍

What did Toolcraft say when you talked to them? How do I know there weren't other problems with the rifle, such as being over gassed or having too stiff a buffer spring or incorrect buffer weight, etc. There are circumstances that can cause additional and unnecessary wear on a BCG which are of no fault of the BCG, for example, did you lubricate the bolt every 500 rounds or so? I get that you probably treated this bolt the same as you have other bolts that have gotten much higher ammo counts out of, but was it the same gun? Were you using the same ammo in all of them, what about high pressure ammo? What kind of wear and tear did the rifle already have that could impact performance? The point is, there are a lot of variables here, and so the fact that both failed in the same spot does *suggest* an issue with the bolt itself, it's just not that simple, there could be some other fault that is putting excessive stress on the bolt. That said, its good to know your experience. It's just odd given that toolcraft is an OEM manufacturer. A lot of companies buy toolcraft bolts and engrave their own logo, which suggests that IF this was a common problem, it would be well known not just by end users who buy toolcraft brand bolts, but by all the manufacturers who use them too.
