31- It's legal to break out of jail in Mexico. Yes, you can be recaught to serve out your sentence, but as long as you didn't break any laws to get out (ie-property damage, stealing a car, etc), you won't receive extra time. Unlike their northern neighbor, the right to be free is actually in their constitution and not just some catchphrase.

Cambodia is NOT the cheapest in the world. Pakistan & India are less expensive + some others in that part of the world -- You should do better homework. -- ( The Philippines offers affordability 'ranges' - depending on location meaning a variety for any budget & nearly everyone speaks English! ) -- Siem Reap offers a cheaper cost of living than the capital PP. Perhaps 30% less. - - - I been searching the world for 2 or 3 years looking !!! > The over 55 '''retirement visa''' Cambodia offers - is the best I have seen anywhere !!! Fantastic value. ---- '''If''' > you can handle the unbearable heat in the summer.......

@@GoldenJourneyTVFor persons 50 and over, Thailand has a great retirement visa, in fact there are a few different versions....I pay about 600/mo USD for a big beautiful furnished sea view condo with big balcony with recliners, 70 inch smarttvs, huge leather couch, marble floors, european kitchen; 1 bed 2 full baths in a beautiful complex with full gym and large relaxing luxurious pool area....a few minutes walk to more than a couple tropical awesome beaches...south american countries are amazing also, when you consider most of them have the Andes mountains, a seaside coast, the Amazon River, jungles...i lived in Peru for a while.....SE Asia is just so easy to get around, and so much more affordable than almost anywhere....here I have unlimited number of restaurants to order delivery from, unlimited choices of products i can order delivered - all COD....i have everything around my complex; restaurants, beach bars, pharmacies, convenience stores, cannabis dispensaries, markets....i can use the Grab or Bolt taxi app to get picked up anywhere and taken anywhere for unbelievably cheap price, just like almost everything is here....i can walk out to the sidewalk and jump on a tuk tuk, and in 3 minutes be on the beach road in Jomtien, or take it almost anywhere in pattaya - for 10 baht (.28 USD)....i am moving to hua hin at the end of the year, a much more relaxed and uncrowded place compared to Pattaya or Phuket...I have lived in Phuket and Koh Samui islands; Phuket has the most amazing beaches of any island i've been to, but too crowded and expensive....here in pattaya, you can take a ferry 15 minutes to koh lanta island, or take taxi south to take ferry to koh chang island, which I have been to; i stayed for a full month, paid about 1100 USD for a big luxury hotel room in a resort with infiniti pools, beach bars and restaurant, and a private beach right down the path from my back patio.....SE asia is my home now; so many places in malaysia thailand and vietnam that i can visit and be perfectly at home....

However….Phnom Penh rent is usually Double or more than what you’ll pay in Siem Reap & Kampot . As for groceries….if it’s imported it will be MORE expensive than the same item in western countries. Electricity is USD 25 cents ++ per kilowatt. And with AC essential that can be pricey each month. Thailand & Vietnam are cheaper IMHO. Also,,,if you like a beach lifestyle, forget Cambodia. Cambodia has a low of living. If it is expensive, it depends on food or items that are premium and high class. There is apartment costing 350$ per month and it's comfortable living if you don't prefer high demand for your daily living.
