I was most shocked about the suicides in Japan. I didn’t know about that. This is really shocking. All this perfection and too much work is not healthy.

Yes, mental health is an important component for your overall health and is underrated in many cultures unfortunately. :(

Fact check please. Some things are deceivingly presented here: 1) Japan's suicide rate is much lower than the USA and dropping. In 2000, it was rated 49th in the world. That's less than Sweden, Finland, Belgium, India, and far less than Russia. I'm not sure why people consider Japan's suicide rate being so high. ""World Health Organization, 2019". 2) Japan is ranked #95 globally for homelessness - per capita. The US is 55, Germany 49, France 41, Australia 42... "Habitat for Humanity 2016". Again the description is not in line with reality.

Japan is a collectivist culture with a very different understanding of honor and self worth. It clashes with the individualist cultures of the west and yes, the drill and hardship of surviving in Japanese society is rough, I lived it myself, but there’s so much more to those numbers and seeing East Asian cultures through the western lense is inevitably shocking but so is it vice versa.

Thank you for your insights, it’s very interesting to hear from someone who did live in Japan before and experienced life there. So how did you experience life in Japan and how long did you live there? Yes, I think we also have some cultures in the west which are quite shocking..

What shocking facts revealed? I hear opinions but no supporting facts. This is a failed documentary and a waste of viewer's time.
