    I use an auto detailing white paint touch-up pen and put a very small white dot at 8 and 10.5 inches on my cue shaft. It will not harm the shaft and comes right off if you us a little water and paper towel. Helps me know my stroke distance without using other objects on the table.

    Must give credit where credit is due. This is born from Bert Kinister's "Mighty X" drill. Where he does this so much he actually wears out the cloth.

    Much like me you may be on a road to carpral tunnel, back programs and other unwanted hinderances only because we are taking extreme measures to learn rather than mentally preparing and applying and then studing more when we are in doubt. I admire your dedication to get better at something you are passionate about. I am trying to get better at long distance shots and banks and while I have made progress i notice my progress doesnt show when I am mentally or physcially spent. And that can be confusing when trying to improve. My advice would be to practise when you are fully rested and try to stop before you lose focus and get mentally tired. Sometimes we tend to worry so much about improving that we either burn out or just become frustrated with the results we are getting and the flaws in our game still being a hurdle to overcome. Sometimes we will just learn in the best envirement to improve automativally when we are just playing around and for fun. So invite a friend over to play a match and help eachother with some drills that arent so taxing on you. Plan the day and order a nice meal and then the work becomes play and sont worry about success or fail, just enjoy the process.

    I tell people i should be able to almost rip the cue out of your hand from behind if not its to tight

    @jasminouschanbilliards when cueing or stroking the cue and cueball don’t you have to open the grip hand when pulling the cue back to ensure a straight and smooth stroke delivery and close your hand at the end of the follow-through?

  • @craigsimpson4008
    @craigsimpson40082 күн бұрын

    If you open your hand on the stroke your changing your stroke by doing thatfirm but not a tight grip stress will mess up your tight grip as well!!

    I only did 1000 one time in 65 years of playing, it is amazing how much concentration , even an easy shot can take to do 1000 in a row

    But at least 1 out of 3 shots are near the rail or over another ball.. but closer is better when you can since your eyes mostly focus on the object ball. Then when you stretch too far, your opposite hand driving the cue can hit the edge of the table.
