Such a beautiful tone on that Flugelhorn. This was the first time I had ever heard of it, and it was so amazing. RIP to Ryan, and thank you for inspiring me to continue playing trumpet even during the pandemic!

Incredible playing. Little grace notes and clear as a bell all over the register. Perfection. And a life well lived: Eccl 7:1 A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

The only thing that comes close is an old vinyl LP from back in the 1960’s called ‘Tutti’s Trumpets’. Tutti Camaratta produced the album featuring Conrad Gozzo, Pete and Conti Candoli, and other great horn men of that time. These guys Doc Severinsen got together are sure no slouches. They’re way up in the danger of stroke, molar crowns coming off, or double hernia register. Sorry Doc himself is getting up there in years. Thanks for the post.

Feb. 7 2024. I agree about Lee singing solo and playing horn. I’ve listened to Chicago since they started. Never heard solo from Lee. And I’ve attended their concerts numerous times. We should have more. He’s got a great voice. ❤❤❤❤❤
