When Ryan Anthony, principal trumpet of the Dallas Symphony, was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, he made a quip to his trumpet playing friends that when he got healthy, they could all play a concert together and call it Cancer Blows! Well that light-hearted comment became a reality, not only in a concert, and a follow-up concert, but an entire foundation dedicated to bringing awareness and raising funds for cancer research. The Ryan Anthony Foundation now hosts countless CancerBlows events each year!
Two CD/DVD sets have been created from the 2 Dallas concerts, that include trumpet icons from around the globe. The performances here highlight the concert performed on May 10, 2017 - CancerBlows: The Legends Return.
