This "award" is praising a contraption. A contraption sold on myth. The best "research" says that circumcision *might* prevent HIV transmission by 60% at best. None of it can furnish a scientifically demonstrable causal link, so in all honesty they can't say that circumcision prevents HIV for certain, let alone by that magical 60%. The WHO, and anyone who has actually endorsed circumcision as HIV prevention stresses circumcised men and their partners must be urged to continue to wear condoms. Why? Because circumcision fails. At which point one has to ask themselves; if a man has to wear a condom anyway, what is the point of circumcision? Why waste millions if not billions in trying to get them circumcised, when all they have to learn is to use a condom? All you have to do is look at world data. What countries circumcise? Which ones don't? Where is STD transmission the highest? Where is it the lowest? The best of pundits say that 80% of all US men are circumcised. And yet, world data shows us that we have more STD transmission than several countries where circumcision is rare or not practiced. According to the CIA, we have more HIV than 53 countries where circumcision is rare or not practiced. We have more HIV than Mexico. Can those at PrePex explain that? Or will they ignore it because it cuts into their income? People, be wise. Do your research. Don't just believe people who are interested in making a buck and preserving their religious traditions.

This is one of the biggest farces I have ever seen in my entire life. I cant believe she is saying the things she says. Did she say save 4 million lives and 16 billion dollars, does someone really believe the things this woman says??
The story this young lady poses does not fly with me. Why is it when I hear words like, pace of private sector, public sector, tremendous resources, powerful synergies, ultimate win win, burning challanges, resource limited settings, listen to the market. Then prases like; "at Preplex we define forward as really how to bring the most inovative safe and efective technology to help solve public health goals" "Why did we choose this challange, in fact this challange choose us" "another one of my partners a Biochemical enginer a brilliant inventor that very quickly understood the problem and came up with a solution" "we came up with a device that is safe, simple, scaleable and cost saving" "every 16 seconds someone dies of aids, my company at Preplex we can make a segnificant impact to change that statistic" This does not seem to be condusive of helping people or solving a health problem. I think this woman is not intrested in helping anyone with AIDS or HIV she is intrested in fame and fortune. Looks more like the plan is designed to help men continue to practice unsafe sex. In the end this will perpatuate the problem and not solve anything. It also doesn`t apear that educating these people is in her plans. Of course this would not turn a profit for Preplex. But of course we know that the problem is not in the foreskin but in the education and the attitude of that entire population. From what I have read this project is not going as she planed, but hey it stunk a mile away from the begining so what can I say. I don`t thing she knows how bad she looks. If your reading any of this Tzameret, I hope some day your really able to help people out so that you can fill some of the void you have in you. Take care all

I feel very sorry for the man but it is totally rational to exclude HIV+ people from your country. An HIV+ person could have relations and spread the virus. What would you say if your daughter or son caught the disease from an international visitor? I feel sorry for the man but these are rational precautions by countries to protect their citizens.
That's is very good reply indeed. If that is the precautions to protect citizens frm HIV, there must be atleast one country having only indigenous diseases or disorders. But there is none. Rather in HIV case,person one proper medicines and undetectable viral load is supposedly untranslatable. Kindly educate yourself for HIV and many mode diseases.
